Ok so I just tried going into a genesis style tank. I heard many great things about it so I bought a clone to try.

The shop person helped me check for dryspots and everything went fine. He just told me to go home and prime the wick/mesh. Fine i did the wet the mesh and then burning it a couple of times. I then put in my liquid.

I know I will probably take time to get the real taste of the juice. But.. Tbh.. A lot of juice is gone and I'm getting he'll of a dry hit from it. Is there an easy fix to this? :(

Need some help. Thanks in advance!

It has been sometime now and it still has not 'broken in'. I tilt it to the mesh all the time I fire. 1 or 2 drags it's fine and then the dry hit takes place. I am not too sure how to rebuild this one just yet :( looks hard.
Also.. Sometimes I'm getting faint firing. Seems like the connection is loose.

I'm attaching the pic of the atty.

Try to rebuild the wick, i ha the same problem for a while but i looked on you tube for a better wick technique and thats when i started to see better results. Hth.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did! :D and it did tone down a little. But i am still having problems with the connection. Sometimes is vapes really faintly and sometimes it just wont budge.

I'm not yet an expert on Gennies, I only have 5 of them and rebuilt each three times now, but Make sure you have an open breather hole. Sounds to me like juice isn't flowing to the wick fast enough?

Are you getting a burning taste to it? If so, here's what I do when that happens. I take the cap off and tilt the PV sideways and fire it to see what's actually happening. A couple of times a notice my top wire is glowing after 6 or 7 seconds. This not only shows you getting a hotspot, but also shows poor juice flow.

I've heard folks are wrapping 1 - 1.5mm silica wick inside the mesh to help with wicking and they say it works wonderful. I didn't have the right size silica, but I did have some .5mm ss rope that I purchased and cut 2 strands of that for the center. I cut my mesh so it was a 1/2" shorter than the rope. If you look in my tank, you can see the rope hanging below the mesh. This combo, so far, been awesome at wicking. I don't even have to tilt my mod quite so much to get good results.

Hope this helps!!

Have you watched the video on putting rolling paper under your wick when rolling them burning off for the easiest coil wrap ever?

I believe the same guy has a vid on rolling two wicks. One small enough to go inside the other. Both mesh. This video also looked interesting. I forget the word he used but it helps drawing the juice up the wick.
