It never leaks on me. Just got back on a 4 day amusement park trip. Had it in pocket all the time. Hot and cold days, traveling up and down mountain elevations from sea level to 5000 ft, and on roller coasters. Never a leak. That's why I take the FeV on trips.

Jeremy, you run the AF without screw don't you?

Maybe that has more to do with why you need to so much exposed space in the feeder tubes?

Yes you are correct. I have less suction. Air flow and draw dictate the feeder wicks setup.

With the current fiber coil core I don't get flooding very easy when pocketing. I also vape around 40w

If its not wicking he definitely is too tight.

Also heavy VG juices will need looser feeder wicks. I suspect Sedge is using a lighter juice blend and that's why he can get away with so much mesh.
IIRC flashi v2 originally came with tiny squares of mesh that were only about 7mm by 15mm.

Ya, but those small mesh rectangles were supposed to wrap around the cotton cord. If you're running just mesh, you need a longer piece

I thought that's what they were for too, definitely too small to use feeder wicks exclusively out of mesh.

I use an 8mm x 35mm piece of 110 mesh 140 micron. Most of my juices are 50/50 to 70/30 vg/pg. I vape at 20 to 25 watts.

Ah right you are, justdoeit. I just went back and watched Andrew's excellent video. The mesh pieces were used as sleeves for the silica feeder wicks.

That's about the size of my mesh straws, only I use 350 mesh and heavy VG. I was shocked at the size mesh you used in your Anthology thread (8X60mm).

He left out that part about only starting with 60mm...then proceeding to trim it down until it fits and works perfectly

I have been meaning to edit that. I started with that and cut to size. Since the forum change, I haven't been able to edit until I change a permission.
