I just ordered an authentic FEV3 not two hours ago. I'm certainly happy about the cost, I've experimented (and sold) the kayfun lite+, Erlkonigin, Squape Reloaded and Taifun GT2. None have quite done it for me, but the GT2 was close. I have zero tolerance for finicky atomizers that give me dry hits with no explanation. Leaking I can deal with because it's easier to adjust wicking to fix leaking than it is for dry hits. The FEV3 looks like YOU are in control of all imaginable variables. I ordered some 50 (yes 50) mesh per sedge's pictorial, but have both 400 and 500 mesh for the feeders as well. I plan on using Rayon or Koh Gen Do in a 2.5mm coil with 7 or 8 wraps of 29 gauge. I got the spare o-ring kit and the 1.6mm screw. 155 bucks isn't bad considering the $200 failed atomizers I've experimented with before.

How quick have you received your authentics? I ordered the Erlk from Germany once and DHL was lighting fast, like 3 days to Washington state, FEV3 is shipping the same way.

Also I passed on the poly tank, just went with full SS

No in tabk mode it will not leak. Not if you tune the mesh to the right size for you juice. I don't have any flood issue unless the deck is overfull. Like when I'm dripping or extream temp change. Otherwise no leaks on its side for me however I put the air hole up when on its side to be safe. Any excess will collect in the chamber.

I used 50 Mesh for low resistance but it is not necessary. A looser roll or larger inner diameter of the straw can achieve the same thing.

Juice viscosity and watts are also factors.

Also I use high vg.

I will edit the post over there. I hope I didn't give the impression that 50 was all that would work.

Also, all 50 Mesh is not the same. You have to get the one made with fine pliable wire. Otherwise it is a stiff piece of mesh you can't roll.

Bennythestooge on ebay is also a great source for mesh.

Also two questions. Where can I find a dripper cap, and does the FEV3 have a tendency to leak when left on its side with the hollow mesh feeders? I imagine if one feeder was exposed to air and the other to juice while sideways you could have quite a puddle. Anyone able to comment on this?

Q1 - Dripper Cap. I guess you didn't buy the one available with your FEV, but no worries, ANY (ok, most) 22mm dripper tops fit. Cause the base is like any RDA, just put a topcap on. I know I've used the upper portion (tank) of a Big Dripper right on the FEV base. I haven't played too much around, but assume a lot of top caps will work

Q2 - I do get leaking, but it's my own fault. I don't use the air screws at all, so the hole is flush with the side of the cap. Using the air screws, you'd need a few MLs of juice loose to leak out the air screw. But because I keep my feeders on the tight side, Im used to doing dry pulls every now and then to purposely flood the deck. So if I do that and don't vape off the excess, and then lean on it's side, it will leak. This is SO easily avoidable though

And yeah, ships DHL, and check your spam for the tracking if you didn't get it (that's where I found mine)

The way I do mine, i ground the air tube on the clone. Pic couple pages back... So the air tube doesn't get in the way of the mesh and they can slide up... Install the tubes just tight enough so that they can slide up and down but tight enough they wont fall out. .. when I push the feeder cap on the tubes are floating & pushed up by the wick; so they aren't smashed.
...

Otherwise if Your tank air tube knurling covers the feed holes youll have to trim the length correctly so they dont smash the wick..

To trim just build your wick roll your mesh and install so it can slide, put the evaporator chamber on so the mesh will slide up when it touches your wicks.. Now you can see where you need to trim them on top.

The Flashi fits perfectly on the Kato. Any tall atty will fit - Rose, SquapeR. I'm thinking about getting the 18500 size Kato but battery capacity may be a problem.

Did you modify the battery spring on the bottom? I've heard it's the fault of a bit of voltage drop with this device
