Sitting down, facing forward.
52, in terms of "rolling" SS mesh, I just cut a small strip and pull it across the shaft of a screwdriver kind of like the way we used to curl ribbon when wrapping presents to make a bow of sorts. That'll make it curl nicely. Then roll it into a tube and keep rolling it between your fingers until it reduces down to the size that'll fit in the feeder holes. You can probably roll it on a flat surface, too, like a desk. I know you said you have arthritis and that can make it more difficult depending on how sever the arthritis is.

It just damned good, isnt it? Simple , easy to fill, easy to get to the wick with out exposing the liquid...
Taste is wonderful. I have 5, which is way too many, but my fear is that I might live too long and parts might be hard to find and Id be in trouble... Its the one atty I could not do without.

I was just reading over on FT and saw some recommend 500 mesh if using 50/50 juice, which is what I mix. True ?? I was gonna get some 400/316 SS Mesh, but will wait for ur answers. Ya'll know better than I do about this stuff.

Also, do I need to torch it before I roll it ?? (I'm now going on what is said about Genny's wicking with Mesh)

I dunno about a 50/50 mix, 52. I'm at 60/40 and it feeds through both rayon and 400 with no problems from temps of 95+ down to 20 and lower when outside. Torching might be needed depending on the "temper" of the mesh, but I haven't had to torch it. Just make sure it's clean, maybe wipe with IPA.

I would think the finer the mesh the thinner, not thicker, the liquid. I believe Jeremy was using 250 or 300 for his 100% VG mix but could be wrong about that. Wait for him to check in on this one.

I have about a 2mm hole through mine. Basically just 2 wraps of 400 mesh, feeding a 3mm 24g build at 40W/480F.

All you are doing with the feeder tubes is bridging the gap between the deck holes and the wick. You could possibly get away with no feeder tubes it the wick was high enough to touch the deck like we have done on the Taifun GS-II's.

I don't torch my feeders either.

I've got it open so I'll show this, poor lighting I know, I'm using the largest air fixture. I have cut off the part with no threads (even a bit more), Then Dremeled the id that little bit more. My coil is darn near touching the air hole (not too close though). I believe I have it where i want it.....a restricted dl.

One thing 'bout feeders though, too big of an hole causes leaking, DON'T wrap yar mesh around "green" blunt needle.

When I said needle to use as a mandrel, I was thinking of my wife's sewing needle. So about a 1mm mandrel or so ?? Too small ??

Oops !! Just re-read you're post, and you said 2mm. Gotcha Dragon. Thanks Bud.

I'm headed off to page #1, Back to the Future. :thumb:

Oh I should add I use 100vg with 350 mesh tubes... Vg is why I stick with mesh.

Most leaks you'll get is because the tubes aren't sitting on the wick. The heavier the mesh the harder to roll so 250 would be real stiff. You can adjust the flow by the wraps of mesh and size of hole though the middle of the mesh tube.
