Just checked this out - looks like you are ok to import flavor as long as flavor is in the correct solvent (pg is ok) and there are some other restrictions.
Check out para 22 of AVA food regulations:

"Flavouring agents
22.—(1) In these Regulations, “flavouring agent” means any wholesome substance that
when added or applied to food is capable of imparting taste or odour, or both, to a food.
(2) No person shall import, sell, advertise, manufacture, consign or deliver any natural or
synthetic flavouring essence or extract which is contained in a solvent other than a permitted
solvent, namely, benzyl alcohol, beta-cyclodextrin, diacetin, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate, ethyl
alcohol, glycerol, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, triacetin and water..."
Tbh I really don't know (not from SG), maybe the person on the other line didn't know much? Just said to my cousin all flavors required special license(?). Anyway not stopping him from getting TFA flavors and nics though, smuggle by me :D. He should be fine for a year or two.

Someone else told me his PA flavors got intercepted too. No tobacco flavors, no PG/VG, just fruits & sweetener.

If it is me, I would make a trip down to claim my stuff. PA is within the allowed solvents listed above.

There may be a blanket ban on vaping stuff, but ban on a common baking ingredient is just absurd. Something which is readily available in supermarkets.

Another seizure, that sucks. Do you know if it was the local post company?

My recent order of PA flavor was sent to HSA. Unbelievable....

you can get it back. if it's flavorings that can be used in food and absolutely nothing illegal, you can go ahead and ask for it back. it's troublesome as they have to check through, and also get approval from their superior. but if it's something that's definitely legal (cotton, wire, flavoring, etc.) then there should not be problems.

just give them a call and tell them your stuff has been sent to them and ask them why. do not voluntarily state that your stuff is not for vaping. just ask them why your things have been held by them, and only when they ask you for what you're using it for then you tell them it's for cooking purposes.

if your stuff is not illegal, nothing to be afraid of. you can give them pressure, sound indignant and demand them to give you a proper explanation. let's just say it's been done before successfully.

I also just bought a batch of flavourings from Capella, got seized by HSA.

I dont even have any tobacco flavors in my order and still seized...

Anyone have any luck appealing with HSA for flavors please pm me...
When the flavours were seized did you het one of those letters stating why they were seized and reminding you not to do it again and warning of potential fines? If so, was it under tobacco/ecigarette control laws?

For import, Any consumables, food, flavoring etc, are subjected to AVA inspection. Unless you own a food import license and had already gone thru the process of sending for batch inspection, the customs can and will send in for further investigation.
That is the law.
Foodstuffs are something of a sensitive subject.. Especially with the recent food poisoning and also the ecig ban.
So please dun use the argument that it's 'only' flavoring and its FDA approved and so on.. Still subject to AVA inspection.
