I wondered about this before starting too, a few members suggested getting 2 small bottles of the same flavor, 100% VG and 100 % PG and doing a bit of mixing yourself to see what works for you. I took the advice and found I need a high PG/
over VG ratio, think everyone is different and the flavor makes a difference too :(

So many sample bottles now and I'm only a week in :) Break even point will definitely not be for a while!

I have never tried the PG e-liquid, so do not know what the difference in TH might be. I am satisfied with the VG TH. I do know that I need a high nic liquid for right now. I quit smoking and started vaping a couple of weeks ago. If I drop down to a lower nic level I feel like I am not satisfied.

Boba's Bounty has to have some additive for TH. AT 18mg it had a lot more throat burn than the TH any of my other high-pg 18mg juices. And I call it throat burn rather than TH because the Boba's hit I got persisted after the drag as burning feeling like hot peppers. Not saying it isn't good - it's good. But it's throat sensation does not feel the same as plain nic TH for me.

re flavor with higher VG? May depend on the vendor. Some might add extra flavor for high-VG mixes - no way to know.

No hard rule here.

Generally speaking higher VG juices produce good vapor. High PG juices have more of a throat hit.
That doesn't necessarily mean that high VG juices can't give good TH. Some do!
I've vaped some cinnamon and menthol high percentage VG's that almost choked me because of the wicked TH.
Conversely, I've vaped some high PG juices that provided a very good amount of vapor.

You'll find that like people, all e-juices have their own "personality" and it can vary a lot between PG/VG blends, flavors, brands, and vendors.
There is no substitute for experience. You'll need to vape a variety and find out for works for you.
