Hello all,

So, I got some new flavors today. A lot of new flavors. And I underestimated the potency...

I've got a couple atomizers that taste like a flavor (such as clove) no matter what liquid I put in. It is a real bummer. Anybody got any insight on how to rid the atty and carts of flavors? I'm assuming I need to try the plethora of cleaning methods, but I was hoping for a more straightfoward answer...

Darn this noob trial and error period!

Thanks everyone!

I have 510 attys and I'll assume you have the same, this is what worked for me regarding this is:

1. Run the hottest tap water through the cart side for 30 secs or so. Trick is to make sure the water flow gets down in there and not cavitating air bubbles. I have to grab mine with plastic tipped tongs to keep my nubs out the fray.

2. Shake drain, then I blow through them, both ends until no gurgling of water.

3. Make sure there is NO water on threads or battery end and dry burn for 3-5 seconds and let cool for 10-20 secs. I do this 3-4 times.

If it still smells like last juice I repeat this until it is gone. You will smell it during a dry burn if it still exists.

Clove is about the worst one to get out again I have had so far (and pretty bad in general, with only things like the infamous Ginseng being worse). I still vape it, but it has its own atty, and that one is stored with a cart condom over the battery end.

Give it a hot shower, blow out, preferably two or three times, and leave it in hot water overnight. If that is not enough, try a bath in alcohol; vodka will do. Also, PG can be used to remove flavours; it's an excellent solvent for flavours. Put lots into the atty, let it stand for at least an hour, then hot shower, blow out.
