Ive spent about $90 so far on different flavors for my KR808 and i have only found 1 that i don't mind vaping all day, although, I am slowly getting sick of it. My most recent order was from Velvet Vapor. I don't like the 6 that i got i think it might be because i used a 100% VG base. The 6 flavors have the same gagging chemical after taste. I am almost to the end of the road with testing flavors and about to drop the ecig all together. It pains me to go back to analogs but i can't seem to hit my taste buds right. :(

Don't let it get to you. Take it from me, what you don't like today, you may LOVE tomorrow.

It's not abnormal to have an overly large initial investment in vaping at first, as until you find the right flavor/strength that works for you, it's trial and error.

Pure VG juices used to all taste like crap, but the times, they are a changin'. Pure VG juices from BlueMistVaping and Vaperite are making us see differently.

More realistic tobacco vapes from FreedomSmoke and a few others are really making things work.

Just keep on , keeping on. And don't freak out if you don't give up analogs right away. Making the switch takes time for most of us. It gets better every day.

I'm sure you've read this by now, but frequently juices need a little time to "steep" to come together. Failing that, you might try hanging out over in the PIF or trade threads, and definitely on the e-liquid reviews area to get a feel for what is getting good press.

In the meantime, I can recommend Don's juices (backwoodsbrew.net) wholeheartedly. Also, Nikhil's purevapes.com. Don's site is down right now, he's awaiting confirmation of a shipment of PG before he'll take new orders, but that should be resolved pretty quickly. I highly recommend the peach and strawberry. His tobaccos are excellent as well.

Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be!

mind you, I've only been vaping for almost three weeks now, but I'll share my story on this

I kind of had the same situation for the first few days -- I got two flavors with my starter 510 kit -- Marlboro and Almond from liquidnicotine.com -- both 26mg --- I loved em both

then I got grapefruit, cinnamon, and melon -- again from liquidnicotine.com -- loved the melon but hated the other two

then I got something called jeff's mix from wordup ecig and a capuccino from liquidxpress -- at first I really loved the jeff's mix, and I couldn't stand the cappuccino because I thought it tasted less like coffee and more like chocolate neccos...

then I got some Kamel WOW and some Peppermint WOW from V4L -- loved both of em right off the bat

then I got some platinum ice 100mg and a free sample of Wyatt Earp from FreedomSmokeUSA

so since I've had all but the last two for a week or so, here's where I'm at:

the Marb and the Almond -- still love both, though compared to some of the newer ones they're a little lackluster

the grapefruit, cinnamon, and melon -- I still like the melon, but it's mainly for flavor, not for feeling like I'm getting nicotine -- same with the grapefruit and cinnamon (to be fair they're 16mg, not my usual 24mg) which I now actually like -- it was mostly because their flavors were so understated -- almost nonexistent, but part of that might have been my sense of smell returning from not smoking and part of it might be that I've begun using a passthrough and cartomizers, both of which seem to produce more vapor and more flavor, so a juice with a decent, but understated flavor probably tastes better that way

the jeff's mix and cappuccino -- I actually really like the cappuccino now -- I think a part of why I didn't like it initially is because it just didn't taste like a cappuccino, but it still has a nice flavor -- the jeff's mix, I'm not sure if I like it -- it seems like there's a lot of ingredients in it -- maybe too complicated? who knows

the Kamel and Peppermint -- those are both just really great juices -- LOTS of flavor, especially the peppermint... good god you want a juice with a strong flavor get that one haha...

the point of all of this garbage is to say that, at least in my experience, your tastes will change from time to time, and a juice you maybe didn't like initially will grow on you

what will probably happen is you'll find a juice you really like, and then maybe some of the other ones you thought you didn't like before will taste better -- maybe try some different companies -- or even a different PV

Make sure your atomizer is clean. A single cartridge fiber stuck to the atomizer can taint everything.

yesssssssss. Tainted taste. Blechk!

Cleaning out the filler too, or drawing slower and smoother. I get a little carried away and start puffing like a cigarette still, then realize how much like suck it starts to taste like. I slow back down and make sure my gear is clean, then bingo. Good to go.

When I switched to a Joye eGo I found my stock of juice, all flavors tasted
better. Although there were ones I still didn't like in any case. I also try new
flavors out in carts, after pulling out the filler and a quick wash and dry.
That seems to make the biggest difference in the taste 'cause there's no mixing
of flavors, (and a bad one "left over").

For $90 that has to be a lot of different flavors, hope you're buying 3ml samples.
It's the best way to try a bunch without going broke.

I totally know where you are coming $$$ wise. I've spent $400 in just my first month, HOWEVER, I'm set for the next year almost. I'm sure I will have to replace some hardware at some point but that is not that expensive. I have to look at it this way - I HAD to quit. I had three doctors breathing down my throat after a major health scare in Aug. I knew that I had to stop the cigs. I quit the very day I got my kit. 31 days today with no cheating either. Too me, this new hobby is very very cheap for what I'm getting in return. Hang in there!! Set in your mind that you are going to quit analogs one way or the other and this is the only way you are going to get your nicotine for the time being. I would have never in a million years thought that I would put smoking away that fast, if you get the right nic level, I don't see why this could not be successful for lots and lots and lots of folks.

I can totally vouch for the V4L WOW Kamel and Peppermint being great, like Sean says. Kamel is a tobacco flavor (duh) and I have found that I like a tobacco 'base' and then add other flavors with it. Like the Kamel is great if you put a couple drops of WOW pineapple and WOW french vanilla in it. Or pineapple and bavarian cream. Try mixing up your flavors! I hardly ever use just one flavor anymore. I'm use 80pg/20vg on all my juices. I like that combo but I wonder if that is too much of the pg sometimes.

Best of luck!!! :)

I see you're looking for a flavor you can vape all day. I'm sure some people do, but even my favorite flavors I can't vape all day. Some day's I'll vape one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and another in the evening. On other days I'll vape 7 or 8 different flavors during the day. All depends on my taste buds on any particular day.

How long did you let your Velvet Vapors flavors steep? I haven't tried them but I think they hand mix your flavors so they most likely will need a week or two before the true flavor will come through. Not unusual for flavors that show up at your door with a chemical taste to taste great after steeping for a while.

Don't give up yet, it can take a while to find one's favorite juice vendor. It can happen sooner but generally I think its pretty common for people to need to try a bunch or different juices before they settle on favorites to order consistantly. Good Luck!

Velvet Vapor..
100%VG 12mg

Honey Hookah
Irish Cream
Coconut
Turkish Blend
Wild West
Vanilla Cigar

And yes most of these were sample packs or 3ml bottles

The wow vanilla from V4L is okay but it kills my throat, maybe premium would be better?

The Dunhall from V4L is by far the best tobacco flavor i have tried but its still not all that great..

Right now i have the coffee from VK's which taste like a chocolate to me, will hopefully get me by.

If i could try and guess the flavor i am going for. It would be a subtle flavor, not a fan of the sweet or fruity now that i have experienced some. I would like to find a good tobacco flavor but maybe dunhall is the closest thing i can find. I don't really like a huge throat hit maybe i should try a 50/50 pg/vg combo or something. Just saying VG makes me want to vomit after what i have tasted today. I did not let them set though so i will try them again in a few weeks. Oh yea i am not allergic to PG i was just trying something new.

I hope this list will help some of you recommend some flavors or tips. Thanks for all the help so far, it really means a lot.

WOW, you have tried a bunch of flavors!!! Cleaning the cart between flavors??

I found starting out the simple, strong flavors were the tastiest, cinnamon,
vanilla, licorice, coffee. The more you vape the more your tastebuds recover.
It may be Classic Caramel Mocha Frappe, will taste better, when you can taste
the subtle flavors better??

...my advice about vanilla... for me, plain 'vanilla' is usually too bitter and too hard to mellow it out. Vanilla creams, like french vanilla, vanilla gorilla (gourmet vapor), etc. are a little sweeter, smoother and easier to mix. A drop or two of one of these in a tobacco flavor is usually very good. Add a drop of coconut to that, or amaretto, and you have three or four new tastes... and it does help, alot, to let them steep for 24 hrs uncovered, and then sit for awhile..
You have some great flavors there!

Alot of people like backwoodsbrew for tobacco flavors.

Have you checked out the eliquid reviews section here for reviews?

I am happy to report that BWB has hit my g-spot.

I ordered the popular favorites...

70%PG / 30%VG
Applewood
Cherry Tobacco
Vanilla Bean
Honey Flue

I am still waiting for my new vapornine turbo blanks to come in so i had to fill some rinsed cartos. Even with used cartomizers i like all of these, Honey Flue being my favorite and first all day vape. Vanilla Bean comes second, then Cherry and last but not least Applewood. I can not wait to try some more of his Tobacco based flavors. I got to say there was a few times i wanted to throw all my vaping stuff in the can and grab a cig but now i can thank BWB for changing my mind completely.

I also want to thank everyone here for their help and interest with my problem.
