Ok I went to Flavor West's website and noticed an ad at the top for DIYJuice's website... so I went there to compare pricing, looks like the same people own it (could be wrong).... But is there a difference between the flavorings? should I not use Flavor West for some reason? reason I ask is because the pricing is so different between the 2... One flavor at Flavor West is $6.40 for 4oz when the same flavor at DIYJuice is $2.75 for .25oz... is there a difference in the flavoring because one is for eliquid and the other for food??

So Confused...

All flavorings are food flavorings. There is nothing made specifically for e-cigs. Anything listed for e-cigs are assumed safe to be vaped but there are no guarantees for anything until some long term studies are done. All flavors are approved for ingestion but not necessarily inhalation. Sorry to add to your confusion.
In response to your question, it's always cheaper in larger quantities. 4 ounces is a lot of flavor and most folks don't buy that big until they know they like it.

some flavoring is better quality than others. the only way to find out is to try them --or to ask for opinions in these forums for people who have tried them.

and the company Flavor Art from italy does make flavorings specifically for e-cigarettes and have even put up the money to do some expensive scientific research into the use of their products via inhalation.

If you want to try Flavorwest I would go to Mt Vaper Baker and use promo code vaporfrombaker to get ten percent off. They offer 15 ml bottles for 2.99 before the discount. Simply go to their DIY section--all flavors there are Flavorwest. Free shipping at 50 dollars or more and a good deal on ten or more empty bottles.

They're the same company, they also go by Vapor Renu. DIYJuice.com has smaller amounts so that you can try a lot of flavors before committing to larger bottles. The better deal is Vapor Renu, but if you don't like it, your SOL. I've bought a bunch from DIYJuice, so you're fine.

HighDesertVapes also carries Flavor West, 3ml for $1.99, not as much variety as FW though.

The only FW I have tried so far is Maple Pecan. Pecan is my favorite flavor on its own and mixing with tobaccos and other flavors. I've tried LorAnn's Pecan in the 1 dram bottle (no dropper and a drag) and can barely taste it. So strength is, I think, subjective just like flavors are. Some may be right about the "weakness" thing but how much are you going to be set back by using 2.5 drops compared to 5 or 10? And how to measure that half drop? So, to me, the risk of ruining the juice by one drop too much is not worth it. FW is very forgiving and I've had no ruined juice with it. I will be going back to FW for a 4 ounce bottle of Maple Pecan and trying a smaller size of everything they have with Pecan in it... which is quite a few... plus some others like Waffle.

The kind of mixing you describe is me. I think I'll buy some Favors West. I have room for about 8-10 flavors I think and not be be overwhelmed. Thanks for posting. Maple pecan sounds lovely too. Is that all you use. A one flavor mix for that? Thank you.

Yes, its maple and pecan already mixed. I vape it plain or add it to other flavors... mostly tobaccos. If a tobacco flavor is just yucky, which many can be, Maple Pecan saves it. A tip: The Flavor West site where you buy the big bottles has pretty high shipping rates because, I guess, of the weights involved but they have another site DIY Juice.com that sells the small sizes (7.5 mls for $2.75) where you can try them first and shipping is $2.85 flat rate Priority mail USPS. Its a simple site (one drop down menu) where you won't get descriptions but you can read those at other sites.

Have you tried the FWs that aren't repackaged up against MtBaker's that are? I have a few flavors from MtBaker's but not the same ones I have in FW to compare them. I know if I buy MtBaker juice I usually need a flavor shot or two. One thing I really liked (among others) about MtBaker is that they say exactly how much flavoring to use... they don't fudge at all. I think 2-4 mils to 15 mils and they also tell the new DIYer not to mix more than 26 drops altogether (if putting more than one flavoring in) to 15 mils. So many don't tell you that and with super concentrateds and combining 3 to 5 flavors you can quickly turn it into yuck if don't take overall flavor quantity into account.

All the FW I have tried is repackaged although I am seriously considering ordering a few of my favorites right from the FW website its under 6 bucks for 4 ounces! FW gets a bad rap by some people here for being weak but they do have some very good flavors in their lineup. I have sampled what I got at Mtvaper and it is Flavorwest.

my brick and mortar store uses their flavorings to mix your custom juice for you. i have tried a few and haven't found anything i like other than strawberry and mango. i have tried honey wood tobacco (taste like perfume), raspberry (was ok) turkish tobacco (... how did this make it to market it is discussing) honey (taste more more like syrup and smalls exactly like syrup).

i really want to like their stuff because i am really frustrated ordering online (one vendor in particular) and its right down the street.

can anyone suggest a decent flavor? i know taste is subjective yadda yadda. im kinda new so i haven't tried a ton of juice but i like sweetish juice. it doesnt have to be fruity as my absolute fav right now is a honey cured tobacco from i****. basically what flavors actually taste like the name and what doesnt taste perfumy? thanks for the input.

I would suggest you mix at a much lower % if you are getting perfumy, Basic DIY rules apply. The flavors may be bad or it may be user error.

Not all FW flavors are good. Stay away from banana foster like the plague. (banana fish no matter what % you mix it).

However many are my goto juices. and about 15 I cant live without! I ordered eight 4oz flavors from the company and I am very happy I won't run out of ecto cooler, sweetish fish and others anytime soon.

Vaporpunk, I'll be happy to share my basic DIY knowledge with you. (read my 1 blog post, free advice).

thanks i will read it. i dont consider my self really into DIY because the brick and mortar in my area has if not all of their flavors most of them, and they mix it for you. that said i found something i really like yesterday from FW. i got waffle with a little blue berry and oh man its like a breakfast party in my mouth lol. the idea of pastry type juice weirded me out at first bum im going to have to give some others a try now.

im gonna try the USA tobacco when they get more in. i smelled the mostly empty bottle when i was in there and it smells pretty good. any suggestions on what goes well with it?

thanks for the helpful post kind sir!

I ordered eight 4oz flavors from the company

Hi BakuPeg,
IF you ordered direct from FW, could you tell us about that? I tryed in the fall and nothing would stay in the cart on their site. Maybe they fixed it? They do have great prices on bulk and I was going to get the Peach Tobacco in 8oz or more.....but ended up ordering from ECX

Register first, log in and try it again. If you get the same error try to swap your browser. I know some carts go ape when using firefox but work fine with IE. Their shipping is quite a bit but they might have fixed that.

If you get the problem again, WRITE THEM. They'll probably appreciate someone letting them know.

Thanks for the info just made the order. On the site they say to use 15 - 40% flavor, really? Do you use that much? I guess I'm used to FA and starting at about 5%
