Not to me, the extracts are awesome. I've probably got about an hour invested in each batch, not counting the week soak time.
A few other notes, I tried putting the extract in the syringe and pushing it through the filter. There's no way to back flush the filter so it clogs quickly. Also I tried a pipe tobacco/VG extract and it was a filter killer. Not sure if it was the VG, tobacco or the combo. I'm gonna try it with PG next. Here are a couple pics.

Here is the resulting extract and fresh bottle of juice.

If you've got good silica for your wick you can do a dry burn to get rid of the gunk and solids. It's quicker and easier and when you're done it tastes better than a new setup. I get my wick from COV that Imeo sends. On my Boba atty I dry burn it about every other day and build a new coil every two weeks. Boba's seems to have more solids than most NETs.

I'm observing my ribbon coil. I think there is going to be less gunking on this wire vs. the round stuff. I've been over dripping my atty with the Hangsen Arabic and I can't gunk up this coil. Normally I get gunk after 24 hours of vaping TE liquids.

now that sounds better just wondering tho are the glass bottles really necessary I have been using plastic and never had an issue
I'm not an expert, but I have read here on ECF that the LDPE (milky) types of bottles can leach chemicals into whatever liquid is in the bottle. The PET (clear) bottles are used in the food industry because they don't leach. However, many gurus recommend glass because there is no chance of chemical leach and further recommend amber or cobalt for reduced light exposure. Glass is especially recommended for nic base, and especially if you intend to store it in the freezer.

Glass cleans up fast with no stains or residual smells. I have plastic stuff but if I don't use it soon I'm transferring it. I throw away old plastics except the small for 3 ml sample recipes unless they have a smell to them. I have a lot respect for glass. I even chose my beverages from a convenience store based on they're in glass. Second choice is canned

Yeah I have around 30+ glass vials now and I mix different stuff in them all the time. Another added benefit is I have lost all 500 plastic bottles I have owned at one time or another (Spare a tiny handful which of course hit the trash because any residual e-Liquid in them turns into Couch Flavor). I have yet to lose more than 1 glass bottle for any given period of time. I wanted to link this as I couldn't find it the last time:
Boston Round Bottles, 1 oz. Pack of 12: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

That is 6.99 + 1.75 shipping (it was free shipping when I last ordered). Although it says 1oz it fits 30mL quite well (with room in the bottle neck, not having to fill it up to the tip top. It comes to 0.73 cents per bottle (with shipping) case of 12.

Just as I have said before finding this kind of deal on Amazon is kind of difficult and involves a lot of searching through different categories 'reagent bottles' 'lab bottles' 'home wares' etc as you can never be sure what the seller has labeled its category.

Also just found this:
Boston Round Bottles, 4 Oz Pack of 12: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Comes to 1.36 per bottle with shipping which is also cheaper than eBay.

Shipping was fast and nothing was broken.
