A while back I sent in a ticket to Flavour Art asking why they did not offer flavorings in Bulk any longer? Now they are only offering 10mL bottles at best. I received the following response and was curious if someone could shed some light on what exactly is going on? What impact this will have on us that refuse to use anything but FA?

Flavourart srl has taken the decision to restrict the bulk supply of flavourings and liquid.

Over the past months we have evaluated the market and realized that having so many products, carrying our logo, packed in different bottles, with different (often own brand) labels, and sold at
different prices, is not optimal for the brand, thus we will focus on pre-mixed liquids, 10 ml flavours, and e-liquids in 50-100 ml for the do it yourself market.

The process is currently in the inception stage as we formulate policies that will benefit end users by offering them the reassurance of high quality and production standards. We wish to ensure that the reputation of Flavourart, which has been earned through dedication and our application to quality, is maintained at the highest level. We are also committed to our Clearstream Protocol program and will
continue to develop and enhance research into the safety of our products.

We appreciate that our plans might affect vendors and customers in different ways, but we feel obliged to honour our commitment to providing the best quality products that will secure our future. Our aim is to introduce the changes as smoothly as possible with a minimum of inconvenience to our valued customers.

We will issue further details as our plans are finalised.

Cordiali saluti/Best regards,

Massimiliano

I hope FA reconsiders because us vapors are very good at finding replacements and being resourceful as well. All FA is going to do is lose money big time. I dont need FA in my DIY but I do enjoy their stuff. Ill gladly give hangsens, Capellas, Natures Flavors, TPA and anyone else my money. This is a stupid move IMO.

Sorry to bump this thread but....AAARRRRG! I just found out:(

I've been pretty much an exclusive hypnotic mist vaper for the last 2 years and now I've got to pay twice as much for my flavoring:mad:

At least ecigexpress still sells it, RTS doesn't even stock it any more:(

This will take a bit of time to get over

One problem was that many vendors sold FA liquid that was not produced by FA but by the vendors - in very varrying quality. This is what they try to stop. It won't pay for those vendors to buy 10ml-bottles, so they would stop, it is hoped, selling "FA"-liquids that are not exactly up to FA standards.

I told them the idea sucks.

However, it seems to me that maybe, if they recieve a lot of input as to why they should keep selling 100ml-bottles, they might reverse that decision, at least when it comes to 100ml-bottles of flavours. (Maybe 50ml would be a good compromise, too. Too little for vendos selling DIY-FA but should be enough for real DIY.) So, write to Flavourart.

I saw this above post and was going to write to let you know that Wizard Labs have it and in stock..I just placed an order with them and got it in a couple days ago. I order Hypno from them, and when the package came in, it had 2 bottles of that in there. Thought they messed up and gave me one too many...so went and looked and no, it was my fault, I had put 2 for quantity on that flavor. Was NOT upset about it, because I have heard only good things about it. (which, by the way, already made up a batch with Oba Oba and it smells oh so good!) Just now went to their site to get a link to it for you and its GONE! WHAT?? Maybe keep trying back and looking there? Really glad now that I did order 2 bottles..only thing is, I'm just about out of Oba Oba...really hate to have to place an order from a different order, just for that one flavor though.

If you find a place selling it, please Post!

What is oba oba?

Have you ever tried the brachs candies that you pick and mix from a bin? There is one that is oblong, white and has bits of fruit in it. Very chewy. That is the flavor. A very good vanilla with a hint of fruit.

BTW- RTS just got their big shipment of FA flavors in and should have them on site soon. He talks about it on his thread in the Suppliers subforum :D

In the marketing world, what is stated is not always totally factual -as in, this may very well be true-the-end OR it may be simply the beginning of PART of the long-range plan/goal.

Example: Anytime one has a desireable product with decent sales (and a strong following) one of the EASIEST ways to increase immediate sales is to "take it away" (or threaten to take it away) in some way or another. In this case, by threatening to eventually limit sales to only 10ml bottles (no matter who the buyer), most wholesalers are going to place ENORMOUS orders to ensure success of their own sales/business.

Of course, all buyers would flood FlavourArt with complaints, and "after due consideration" (and an IMMENSE increase in cash flow/sales), they can "reconsider"...but of course, they'll likely increase prices...which everyone will be thrilled to accept as a 'solution' (compared to the alternative).

And this is just one example of how "marketing" pulls off a major price increase (while temporarily max-boosting their sales)...all to end up with a client base that's actually "relieved" about the price increase - and thankful that FA "heard their complaints" and responded with good customer care. Of course, if they just would have announced a standard price increase, they would have temporarily lost sales/buyers and irritated those that remained.

Of course, if this IS actually what they've decided to do (market only 10ml bottles) - then they're insane. This decision would substantially disrupt the operations of many flavor vendors around the world while lessening their profit. It would substantially disrupt the operations of many e-juice mixers/sellers, while lessening their profit. And it (of course) will cause MANY diy-ers to totally ditch them.

I'm going to do my best to stock up on what I know I need/like now, because no matter what their plan actually is, the price IS likely to go up substantially. Too bad for me, I'm just in the testing stage of 100's of flavors (FA, TPA & VZ mainly), and have only decided upon a few that are going to be "must haves" :::sigh:::

BOO HISS FA!
