Doris wrote a email to me last night. The VF Temp control is only 40W not 50W. Also the 50W does not have temp control. But it's all good. Still works.

    Here's the Origen with Ni200 build. 26g 10 wraps.

    Rest reading at .08 ohms

There is a couple mm gaps between the atomizer and 510 connection. It's not adjustable.

Currently not using the squonk mode because the bottle taste like crap.

Buttons are very nice. Easy to maneuver from temp, normal, locking, etc.

The finish on it looks much better than the focal pictures made it look, I like the look of it.

How hard is it to get that bottle in and out though? looks pretty tricky.

The bottle comes out easily, it's just hard trying to manuever the tube back into the bottle and pushing it completely in.

I grab the tube and use a small screwdriver to push the tube in the bottle, then slowly spin the bottle upwards.

Woohoo, Doris just let me know that the Nectar MICRO* is on the list of what's coming up! :thumb: I asked her to try to get colored replacement tanks too, but I dunno about that one...

The Micro is just like the Nano, but with twice the juice capacity (1.4ml vs. 0.7ml).

Thanks for that post, I was planning on ordering a Nectar and a Stumpy this weekend. Now I'll just hold off for the Micro since it sounds like a better compromise than what's there now.

I REALLY like this nuppin clone. had to modify it so it would work with single coil but after giving it a simple green ultra sonic bath, I slapped a Clapton coil in it and can't get enough. the squonk hole is about perfect. flavor is very good.

wish they had an 18mm version like the real one

Anyone else had focalecig experience with a lost order? Frigging pisses me off. A $5 order for wire never arrives and seven says to file a claim with paypal. After several hundred dollars, they can kiss my *** goodbye. And damn straight I WILL be filing a claim with paypal.

    -----------

Edit: Okay, I'll issue a partial retraction. I did file paypal claim which was promptly refunded by focalecig. So perhaps this is the preferred/easiest refund method for them and the real issue was poorly chosen words/lack of english language skills on why this was necessary. If others encounter this situation, save yourself some grief and just file paypal claim if over six weeks.

Anyone else eyeing the triple 18650 mechanical that was just listed? The "Lethal" Box. Triple 18650 parallel mechanical. Looks decently made in pics.

$25.17-$27.99 Lethal Style Mechanical Box Mod - Black

It's in the cart...at $27 I think it's worth a shot. Now I do what I always do and figure out what else I don't need at all but want to order with it...

    Found this on vapingcheap[dot]com
They just posted a great pre-order deal on the Lethal Mechanical Mod mod clone at Focal ecig. Join this pre-order for only $26.59 with FREE world-wide shipping when you use coupon code “FCVAPINGCHEAP” for 5% off. Estimated time of arrival is July 12th

    I just ordered mine...only 42 more orders for a 24.99 price plus the 5% I presume.
I was one of the first into the pre-order, so my Lethal arrived earlier today. Holy crap I have never been so happy to have a clone arrive, the minute I pressed the button one time I knew it was for me.

All of my other mechanical boxes have been kicked to the curb, this thing might seem a little flimsy without batteries in it as it's so light but that means it weighs less than my Osmium or Cherry bomber, even though it has 3 batteries. Words do not describe how much this button rules, it has a spring in the button but the spring is entirely isolated from the electrical contact path, so it can never melt! The way the button installs into the mod is also completely awesome, once you unscrew the top 510 plate the button of the switch slides out and leaves the real mechanical workings of the switch exposed. This switch is a phenomenal thing, I've only had it for ~12 hours but I can't say enough about it, I was nervous that the switch may be a bad clone version but NO, it's GREAT.

Here's some pictures and a break down of why the switch is so good IMO, it can operate entirely without the button and it doesn't rely on a spring to keep the contacts apart.

    The Mod:
    lethal1.jpg

The batteries are very close, but do not touch when installed
    lethal2.jpg

To remove the 510 top plate, you take out the two small brass screws to the left of this shot.
    lethal3.jpg

There are two solid brass rods which carry the current from the brass base plate to the 510 top plate, pull straight up.
    lethal4.jpg

Full shot of the brass rods.
    lethal5.jpg

Once the top plate is out, you slide the button plate upwards and out. This portion isn't even necessary to fire the mod, and it takes in NO current.
    lethal6.jpg

The back side of the button has a hard plastic nub, not metal. You can see the solid copper reed switch and brass bus bar in this shot which carries current.
    lethal7.jpg

The button pushes down the copper reed which makes contact with the positive bus bar, I'm really quite impressed at this switch design personally. No more hot button worries or melted springs!
    lethal8.jpg

I'll give an update after a week or so of use, as of right now this is pretty much perfect for me.

I ordered a pair of the Velocity RDA clones, the ones with the bottom feeder pin, and the Cherry Bomber bottom feeder mod. The Velocity arrived yesterday and after an email exchange with eleven I find that the Cherry Bomber is delayed to the end of the month. So I stuck the Velocity on the Smokeless and removed the Owl RDA it came with. Vast improvement IMHO. There are plenty of airflow options and the well holds a decent amount so you're not squonking every other vape. Only drawback is the hex set screws used to attach the coil. But with 2 per post it makes it easy to make a dual coil build.

So for anyone thinking about finding out about bottom feeder mods and want to get a squonker of their own, you can get the combo for under $40. Both the Velocity and Smokeless come in black and white so you can match. The Velocity offers other colors.

Has anyone received the Taifun GS II yet? I'm curious about it and noticed it seems different from the one at the other two places which are almost half the price and already come with the dripping cap. I don't mind paying more at FC for better quality but if they are the same manufacturer i'd like to know.

I've thought about trying the velocity, good to hear it's a nice one.
On the bottom feeder mod though,i have the smokeless as well, and it is a nice little mod,but for someone looking to get into bottom feeders,i would highly recommend the Kui over the smokeless. It's only a couple dollars more, but performs so much better.Focal has it without an atty for $27,or you can get it with a 14mm atty that is awesome haha, for $31.That little 14mm atty puts out the best flavor of any rda i have tried yet.

I got the velocity on it's way to me too, it is for the Kui, and agree with b.m, the kui is a lot more sturdy, but not a lot more money.

I did buy a freakshow mini bottom fed from the classies for $33, really nice atty and can be single or dual coils, I like the airflow comes from under the coils, threw a quick build on it and put on the kui, and enjoying so far, but think will be even better when I spend more time making better coils for it.

I seem to gone bottom fed atty crazy, got the smokeless owl atty, zenith v2.5, chalice, freakshow mini and the velocity coming, think I should call it good at that, as only using the kui now.

It's addicting i tell ya haha. The smokeless owl got me started, then i got the Kui and it is fantastic.I now know that i really like bottom feed stuff,so i have been modding every rda i can get haha.So far i have done a derringer, dark horse, freakshow mini, patriot, tobh, and very soon i will be doing my magma.I have to say though, the little atty that came with the Kui is right at the top of my favorites list.
I plan on getting the zenith 2.5,what do you think of the Chalice?I've seen some say it's great, and others say it's horrible so i've held off on getting that one so far.

Really seems pot luck with the chalice, 1st one came from gearbest as they got it 1st and the post was stripped, so went in the trash, the 2nd came from focal, and had ohms jumping all over, I did manage to get that one sorted, but really wasn't very impressed with it like I thought I would be.

Zenith v2.5 hasn't been bad, but I am more of a MTL hitter, so I find airflow from under the coil is better for that, hence why I jumped on the freakshow mini, really nice atty for the money, glad I managed to snatch that one up :)

After seeing you talking about the kui atty, makes me wish I had paid the few extra bucks for it now, but not like I need another bf atty though lol

I almost got the one without it,as i really didn't think i would like a small rda like that, but i found a code that brought the cost with the atty down to $28,so i figured for $1 extra i would give it a shot.I have to admit though, during the first build on that little thing,i was very close to throwing it at the wall haha.I could only fit 8 wrap 30 gauge coils in it because it has those little ears that stick up like the tobh.I had to fight with it for a while to get the coils situated so they weren't touching anything, luckily i tried it on a regulated mod first, and kept getting shorts.Turns out 1 of the positive legs was just barely touching the base. After finally getting the build situated though, the flavor it puts out made all the frustration worth it haha.

How hard do you guys think it would be to convert a dual-batt mod into a single-batt BF? Some of those are really pretty.
It should be very easy. The main part needing to be changed would be the 510,other than that it should be pretty straight forward.I was planning on doing one like that, but decided to go full on and build a dna 30 bottom feeder.

Still coasting along with a KUI and Nuppin clone, and the Terminator/Smokeless Owl combo. I really feel no need for another BF atty.

I did go on a mini kick, though. I highly recommend this:
$26.13-$26.13 (Ship from USA)LE PETIT GROS MOD v2 + HOBO v2 RDA Clone by SXK
    And this:
$10.36-$10.84 IN AX NANO Style E-Cigarette Starter Kit - Stainless Steel
You're not going to win any cloud comps with these (although the hobo and LPG are very nice), but they are great little test tasters and stealth mods. That In'Ax Nano is something else... the entire mod - atty, battery, drip tip, switch - is smaller than most of my tanks...
