wow okay... i just took a glance at the site and the prices are dirt cheap, like literally dirty cheap like .... are the materials they use just completely bottomshelf quality or what?

I thought that "dirty cheap" was a Chinese term  I always tease Doris when she says it :p .. No the materials are not bottom shelf on most of the current clone releases. All of the no name, China originals I would consider poo generally though.

But you have to have the eye, and know how to pick'em.

it just makes me wonder if these atomizers work, then what is the point of me paying 100$+ for a 'authentic'? for now i been getting clones, i have some mutation x clones that are perfect and a darkhorse clone that works perfectly from eccigity. Thought those were dirt cheap since they were less than 20 bucks each. but 10$ for rebuildable attys? ... lol, what are the authentic manufacturers giving me for paying 100$ more for the authentic? i just dont get it.

It is hit or miss, most work fine and some just as good as $100+ authentics, but you do get the odd bad one that is just pants, but when only $10-$20 loss, it doesn't hurt to bad, and worth it for the savings on the good one's, I've only had 1 atty from FC that had a design fault, and is still usable, even with the fault.

Ok, I'll try to explain it to you.

Reason 1: You can trust the makers of authentic devices when they tell you what materials are used to make their products. Oh yeah, and they're usually WILLING to tell you what materials they use.

Reason 2: The quality of the machining is simply better. Yes, it may be a fine point but it's important to a lot of people. Until you've owned one and seen/felt the quality difference for yourself, it's very difficult to explain. Kinda like fine alcohol, designer clothes or an HD TV - can you cover your gonads with clothes from Walmart, get drunk on ripple and watch football on an old TV? Absolutely. But some people prefer to wear name brands while drinking top shelf booze in front of a nice TV.

The MAIN reason: To support the folks that have the ingenuity to design these devices and bring them to market on their own (usually limited) funds; and to NOT support a country that is our de facto enemy and who actively STEALS our technology, violates our (and the rest of the world's) patents, has an entire division of their military who's sole job is to hack into our military and corporate computer systems to steal whatever they can and who uses the manipulation of their own currency to play with our economy and fight an economic war against us.

How would you like to come up with a really cool atomizer, pour your life savings into having a few thousand of them manufactured to the highest standards, using the best materials and providing jobs to your fellow countrymen and then wake up to find out some Chinese company bought ONE of your products, copied it and is now selling it for $9.99? And, to make matters worse, they aren't paying you one red cent of royalty while your loan payment is still due every month. Then, you log on to ECF to find some guy asking, "why would I buy some over-priced authentic? Lol! What are they going give me for that extra money?" ¡FACEPALM!

    Well, YOU asked.

I've got lots of respect for the original products coming out of China. No doubt, they have done a lot for vaping. HOWEVER, this "clone" business really disturbs me. Somebody coined that term because "counterfeit" and "patent theft" just didn't sound right in a product description.

well i understand that aspect. I would 100% rather buy authentic mods than clones. but for atomizers, they are literally just pieces of metal cut and shapen a certain way, it just doesnt make sense to me sometimes why some authentics are in the 100$+ range while clones can go as low as the 10$ range. the price markup just seems way to high. Say, if it were reasonably priced i would no doubt buy the authentic to support the original maker of the product. In fact I have done that with the mutation X's, ive bought the clone and cigreen-x knockoff, and loved them so much i decided to buy the 30-40$ authentic. And to be fair, i could tell no difference in performance between the original and knockoffs. machining was fine, finish was fine, and none of them have let me down yet. as for some of those 120$+ rebuildables that cost as much as mods =\ , id like to see them be less greedy with that huge price tag tacked on.

Oh you can find a bounty of good quality atomizers at FC .. The Rose, Aqua V1 and 2, Kayfun Lite Plus V2, a few others that I am struggling to name :p I just got the Hobo V2 RDA with 5 AFC rings in various colors and finishes and the quality is very nice. Also just got the Origen Genesis V2 which is nice, but I haven't built and used it yet.

The best way to pick a good clone is to know the authentic well, and then compare them. :) I have a ton of great quality stuff from FC, my favs are the EHpro 18350 Caravela, Turtleship V2, Infinite Kayfun Lite V2, Pisces T, Wotofo and Robbot ZNA's, a 3 tube Caravela set, Rose V2, Aqua V1 and 2, Orchid V3, GP Heron, Lancia RDA, umm .. there is more but I am struggling to remember it all

But there are also things on the site that I would neverrrrrrrrrrr buy .. I don't do wrong clones, I prefer 1:1's or damn near :D

any reccomendations on some good clones to try on this site? got me good mutation xs and darkhorses already, and dont like the plumeveil clones. anyone try the magma yet? that one has me the most curious

The magma was my favorite dripper, till the lancia came out, the magma vapes great, but the way it is designed, can get some leaking with it, the lancia having a clear tank, you can see how much you are dripping, so less likely to over drip and is more adjustable for builds due to the plugs that come with it, also can get the lancia from the US warehouse, so won't be a very long wait for it ;)

Sorry, but got to say that looks really cheap and boring.

I wonder what the price point will be? Wonder if they are going after the iStick market seeing how popular they are? Let me put on my helmet before I say this, OK here goes, I have an iStick coming, it will be here tomorrow if the post man isn't "overwhelmed" again. :glare: I know, I know..... I can hear you already but in my defense (if there is any lol) it was a hell of a deal during the holiday sales, $21.48 shipped from Central Vapors, for that price how bad can it be? Beside's I can't have too many battery's for my clearo's & tank's, and I spent more then that on my Spinner II's. One thing I'll be doing right off the bat is taking it apart and see if I can convert it to take a regular 18650, if I can do that then it will be a big win. :)
