You do realize I'm simply slowly working my way up to a Clapton. I don't even need to go out and buy the guitar string Rip Tripper suggests one use to create them. I need to restring a couple of my guitars anyway.

Is it me, or is it harder to screw down on twisted coils? The negative lead screw actually cut the tail on this setup. 28g 9 wraps homing out@1.1. Currently running at 21w.

Mine are easy to screw down since they are 30 twisted. I had a heck of a time when a did a parallel 26g once

I rebuilt with twisted 30 instead of 28. Man, 30 is SUCH a PITA, but vapes great at .4

I checked out the focalcig site today & all the liquids were marked as sold out - anyone know if this is just a stock snafu or are they not selling liquids any more, plz?

I use twisted 30 allot, I like how fast it heats up and it does not retain the heat like the 28 does. Its springy though, you gotta torch it.

I'm not Doris, but from what I know. Luxyoun is who makes it, so doubt they will do it without the logo, and not seen any without the logo on them so far.

What does unik mean in Chinese, certainly they did not name their mod "man no ball"

Can someone help me understand what “Origin Post is Preparing Shipment, We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece” means? That is what the tracking info has said for the last 8 days, form USPS and 17track. I understand it MAYBE in transit, but it doesn’t say that. Or dose preparing to dispatch mean in transit? I don’t want to start a big discussion on how long shipping takes. I just find this tracking information a little uninformative as to where your package is and it isn’t just on items coming from overseas. Just wondering if anyone has a idea.

A few months ago Focal stopped selling juices and battery cells to the US because of airline cargo restrictions on those items. Sending it surface mail to the states would take months and FedEx or DHL would be too expensive, so they just stopped selling them to us. Don't know how this affects the rest of the world, but it could be the same. You can email Doris at sales@focalecig.com to clarify, but she won't be back at work until Monday.

It means as far as USPS is concerned, they know SOMEONE has paid for shipping your package and made a label. It also means that your package has not been scanned for tracking updates in 8 days. This is typical for USPS tracking, particularly around this time of year.

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment means the Chinese postal system is done with it and has dropped it off at the airport for shipment to the US. Don't know what their procedure is, but probably similar to what is done here. Before it gets on a plane it usually goes through some kind of security screening or x-ray to make sure it's not dangerous. They go through thousands of pieces and epacket is fairly low priority, so if they have too much stuff it gets put off for a day or two until they have time.

After that it goes into the queue for a flight to the US. Again low priority so it may take a couple of days to get on a plane with some free space in the cargo hold. Once it gets here it goes to a Customs warehouse to wait for clearance. Again, low priority so it could be a few days. You don't get any updates during this process because it's not mail system, it's security/airline/Customs. Once it makes it out the other end and the USPS gets it hands on it is when we see an update again.

I've had the process take 2 days, I've had it take over 2 weeks. Think of it as a Zen exercise in patience.

Nikki, curious about the sx300 Zero that dropped today on FC. It has a different manufacturer listed than the Hotcig one on FT. Can you find out if that is an authentic yihi chip, or another clone chip like the Hotcig turned out to have?

Geez, so many new new box mods suddenly. I don't know what to get Another Zero, ipv mini, Luxyoun (could cover the ugly logo with black carbon fiber) or something else.

Ugh, Roxy why are you asking me this? I don't want to be involved in the clone vs. authentic debate but I will tell you what I know/heard thus far ..

Eachely is the manufacturer, Hotcig is the reseller ... they supposedly are authentic Yihi chips but Eachely nor Hotcig are allowed to publicly state this. Initially they did, got in a little trouble, and later back tracked on their statements regarding the chip. There is a way to check the chips firmware version, and it sys YH SX300 YH v5.1, which is the same firmware formatting on confirmed Yihi chips ... I am NOT saying that it is, or that it is not true, I don't have a fully formed opinion on this yet. And even then opinions are just that, opinions and not facts.

It appears to be the correct firmware from what I can see. They do make a 50w that is a manufacturer only board you can view it on their web site but it says "send inquiry" which means it is not available to the public.

It looks good to me, and functionality is identical to my SX, the clones are not.

Ok, supposedly Yihi denied those being authentic chips. Guess its best to wait it out and see how well (or not) they are working for people . I don't have money anyway

Well they have a 30w and a 50w mass produced board. And a 50w and 100w modders board, all 4 look and have the same functionality. I did not know that yihi stated it was not their board, I thought it was they could not say either way to protect the customer or maybe thats backwards?

They denied it for the FT one, which apparently is the same mod. Its not exactly a cheap board. Even if a company got them for half price, I admit its hard to see them making a profit on these Zeros. Well, time will tell if the reviews are favorable. I admit to really liking the Yihi chips.

Well... Doris and I are gonna hafta have a bit of a chat. My 4nine doesn't work, though for what I paid I'm not sure if it's worth it to bother getting it replaced. They do need to know its a bad product though. But, my order containing my Aris came with another Origen Geneisis clone instead of the Hana Mini 30 I ordered. Other than those minor issues, I'm very happy with the Aris. I need more mesh before I build the Origen. Is it the Wotofo clone they're selling or made by someone else?

have you tried different batteries in the 4nine? mine will not fire with certain ones.
Also check and make sure the magnet on the battery side didnt screw itself in so it is not touching neg end,these are very simple mods ,to have one not work is very surprising
