Well if they mess up in the future i will say...Doris dont make me get Nicole on yer ...! LOL
Seems weird, but maybe not quite as weird as my Kraken clone (bought from that "other" site) coming postmarked Zurich! All of my recent shipments, domestic and international have taken strange and unusual detours over the last month ... I had one go from New York to Massachusetts, then back to New York again![]()
Nicole yes i mean the Origen Genesis...i went ahead and ordered the Tobeco one so i can post pics when i get it
and a Wood SX Zero? Well if those are good then i definately can blame you when i buy one!![]()

Oh ok .. I didn't realize that Tobeco made that also. I don't know where mine came from, but I am certain its not Tobeco as all of their products are branded. But mine is a nice ne![]()
The same company that made the first SX Zero is also making the wood version. Essentially the same device only with a real wood body sleeve. I hope you love your first one when you get itOh, and its better to blame roxynoodle for the Wood SX Zero, she loves wood, and Doris said she would get it after I told her that roxy wanted one

Be careful taking the top cap off, thats how ZeroOhm broke his. The ground is soldered to the stainless steel and when you remove the cap it breaks that connection. To resolder it you will need a special stainless acid soldering flux to solder it back.
And I know YiHi says they wont cover it but the retailer still might, its worth a shot before cracking it open and voiding any chance of replacement =)
I have experience soldering and I do know what you are saying, alum and stainless use a special flux and high heat. I would think that since the joint has already been made to the steel that you could reattach the ground by heating the parts with a tinned soldering iron. The extra lead on the tinned tip would do the trick maybe. I would try that at least.
Im a tard if I did not see it but is the coupon working yet I really want to order a couple more things from FC. I did get a Orchid and a top fill from the other place only because I wanted to get the topcap with it. I am happy thats on the way but I want to get a subtank and aqua v2, im gonna skip the new kayfun at least for now. I want a improved vape not the same vape wearing new duds.
It takes it but does not discount anything that I can tell. Ill try again before bed and if not again in the morning.
i wanted to share an stupid workaround for my 510 pin problem, which is working ok:
antecedents:
the smaller bottom gasket is damaged, so the pin (and that gasket) were wobbling (touching the walls) and sinking down; the spring and the broken upper gasket were outside, and couldn't insert them back till i know how to take the top cap apart safely (not breaking the ground soldering), if possible.
temporal fix:
inserted a white (soft) silicon o-ring (7.8 x 5.6 x 1.1mm) at the bottom.
inserted a red (hard) silicon o-ring (7.2 x 4 x 1.6mm) above it. it has the right thickness to fit the channel of the pin where the upper gasket was "holding" it (about 1.5mm), so the pin doesn't sink down; it has the right width to fit the walls (~7.5mm ID) and the pin (~4mm width).
the result is a fixed 510; well, it has a minimum tolerance, due to the compression ability of the silicone. it's isolated, the pin doesn't touch the walls (had no shorts yet). it's a bit sunk, so attys with short 510 doesn't make contact (for example, the erlkonigins with no adjustable 510; but didn't try this one when the pin was ok)
tried 20w, good contact, no shorts, it's working flawless, so won't try to insert the spring, unless i'm sure 100% of not breaking the whole device.
maybe yihi reconsiders their warranty coverage of this issue, and also learns that a satisfied happy customer ensures the company success at medium-long term (warranty, repairs, and qc, are investments, not wastes).
meanwhile, remember not touching the sxmini 510 pin, and not screwing long 510 attys too much (the upper gasket could get broken, better add a 22mm gasket between them, like someone suggested in the sxmini thread, if you can't stand the gap).
thank you very much, Nikki (my west guardian angel), Doris (my east guardian angel), dravell (great info), and all who have helped and given love.
i breathe again, and sure your hearts also feel better. thanks, thanks, thanks =)))
Thanks honeyNow you know that if I end up getting this I am blaming you right?

haku,
Just a thought on the 510, may want to think about putting a ego adapter or a short 510 to 510 extension on it and leave it until you come up with a permanent fix, that would take the working pressure off the pin. The iStick has a history of soft threads being striped out in the 510 hole tapped in the top cap of the mod so I just put the ego adapter on it that came with it and leave it there. I know I saw a spring loaded ego adapter somewhere recently, if I can find where it was I'll come back and post a link.
Glad you got it up and running again!![]()
