What is the plastic thing for the chip? A stand?

its a craddle for the chip that is supposed to make mounting it easier. From what I have read, those who opted to change the chip felt that having this cradle was better. The V1's didn't have a chip cradle, only the V2's do.

So no springs or magnets...there's an actual chip in the switch?

I wasn't feeling the logo, but that kinda sounds intriguing...

Dang, those sale items are going FAST! Went to Safeway to buy a gift card for PP, came back and the Origen Gennies are gone! :grr:
So yeah, if the Origen dripper doesn't work out, I might have to buy PClarity's or Nikki's...

My dead Origen Genny actually zombied out on me. Came back to life with ONE THREAD left on the 510 connector. Doesn't work on ANY of my mods, EXCEPT for the one I bought for it. :thumb: And it took me awhile, but built a single HORIZONTAL coil on it, U-wicked with rayon, and I'm actually really liking it again. :) Just had to build really carefully, because there was no way it was going on my meter with all those missing threads.

What is FDV time ??

Fat Daddy Vape 510.

Sounds like the copper threads are wearing themselves out .. that sounds annoying as heck though :(

Yes, I think that's the problem, and its extremely annoying. I need to move the Aqua to a mech, dismantle this thing and just get it done, before I break one of my windows throwing it

Roxy,
Is this 510 positive pin standard threaded or reverse threaded? Sounds like it is standard threaded, if so if you can remove said pin and install a small oring or two under the head of it your problem may be solved.
Adjustable 510 pins need to be reversed threaded so the atomizer does not screw them down when being installed. I ran into this problem with a Poldiac clone and fixed it with an oring. My authentic Poldiacs have reversed threaded screws.
The oring(s) will make the screw a little harder to turn and the atomizer will not move it.

Cindy check back on the Origen Genny in a bit because some things that say sold out are not really sold out .. That Genny has been listed as sold out at least three times, and then an hour later its back. Every time you put an item in cart their system will deduct it from inventory, and you know that not everyone who loads up a cart actually checks out on it .. the system refreshes every 15 minutes now

The Yosen Zero's are reverse threaded .. sounds like its just wearing out and not holding inside of its threaded base :(

I thought of you last week while I was eye balling a Poldiac in the classies ..I do kind of regret not getting it, but when would I use it?

Thats fast, it seems it takes a week for me usually to get from China to LA. You will enjoy that dripper, it has replaced my 454 as a daily driver.

The pin keeps screwing itself in! Everytime I vape, I have to unscrew my atty, then screw it back in. If I don't, the resistance goes way up. Its not the atty.

Remove the 510 pin and roll a little cotton up in a ball and stuff it bellow the pin, keep doing it till it snugs it self tight. I use a paper clip to insert the cotton, I also use a paper clip to remove it if needed. It will not back out and will not cause a voltage drop as long as you keep the cotton under the pin and not in the threads.

Works great

Not me. I use machine screws. Usually #2, #4, M2, M2.5 or M3.
But it's all good. I just wrap that one tight and spread it with a T-pin or Xacto knife.
Ahhh I see says the blind man! FWIW, I use a screwdriver shaft (a cheap set of jewelers screwdrivers has a pretty wide selection of shaft sizes) to wrap a fairly uniformly spaced coil, then push the end of the coil nearest the tip back against the screwdriver handle. This usually results in a nice uniformly spaced coil, although the idea of using screws does have appeal, especially since I'm fairly ate up w/OCD! lol

Doing a 'left handed' coil should be a breeze using a Kuro Koiler type tool, though. I couldn't justify what FC wants for all three sizes so I went w/the set for $6.48 from the other place.

ETA, I was looking around the site for something (don't recall what ATM) and ran across a thread touting something about 'tensioned coils' or something like that. Supposed to be all that and a bag of chips. Then it somehow morphed into a discussion on X-15(?) ceramic wick or somesuch. Followed it for awhile but my head started to hurt.

I think your right, it does look like you could do a reverse or "left handed" coil on a Kuro Koiler type tool.

I was having the same problem with the adjustable 510 on the wotofo ZNA yesterday, it was very loose and would move when I took an atty on and off. Unfortunately on that the hole is drilled all the way through so I can't put anything under the screw. I took the screw out and "tinned" the threads (heated and coated with solder), I had to work it in and out a few turns to get it to the depth I needed and eventually the soft solder will give up it's grip and I'll be back to square one again but for now it's a quick fix and will work until I come up with something else.

Yes, its reverse threaded, which is why I didn't expect this. Its posessed, I tell ya, lol! I just have to look at it, and it does it  No actual touching the mod is required.

Its either the 510 threads, pin threads or both.

I can try an o ring for now...should it be near the top or bottom of the pin?

Now that I've had to get the hired help (read: hubby) to crack the threading on the base of the Aqua V2 I can finally coil it. It's so adorable! I love it just for its looks. What resistance are you Aqua lovers typically running at? Also, does anyone know if someone has made an acrylic or possibly Pyrex topper for it? I hate pmma.

Also the wicking, must touching or IN the juice wells?

Additionally, does it perform better with space coils like some other tanks I've heard or can I stick with tight coils? Loving that I can re-wick without wasting juice!

I have 2 Aqua V2, OEM and Tobh the juice control ring is nearly impossible to turn. I put some juice on the O rings and it is still tight as a bullfrogs as>s. Any ideas how to fix it, change O rings? If so where do I get them and or the size?
