I wouldn't do it. I tried the coating thing and it was not cool.
Just keep a microfiber towel around and wipe it down after the use.

You guys got me, Mariam Poldiac is on the way. I thought I was done with Poldiacs when I sold my two Asmart clones but I couldn't resist the sale price.
Yea don't use any compounds on it yet, just wipe it off. Once you start using polish, you will need to keep on using it more often. My brass paps is still in shiny condition after just wiping it down. Or wear gloves when using the mod my opinion. I do that sometimes when I don;t feel like polishing the brass SR.
Just got email from MMV, Poldiac is on the way, like you said here on Wednesday. Woo hoo!!!!!
*sigh*... I really should have ordered an Overone with my Poldiac. I didn't realize they were available in 22.6mm. I'm almost positive I need a satin one to go on my Full Satin Classic. I could have saved about $23 in shipping charges had I done my homework earlier. Out the door now would be $100.35 using the discount code Ms. Nicole posted.
Joined the Poldiac club today tooOrdered the Poldiac Uma Classic
Thanks for the heads up on this mod being available so cheap !!!
That's gonna be sweet, I was eyeing the Belail for a long time. I was afraid the brass will get ugly yellow over time.
Then The RW and Freddywas on my list, but major fingerprint magnet. I would go crazy wiping it down.
But I have my mind set on the Aname.![]()
Ok thanks Weez .. If I mess up this "4x more expensive than EU316 SS" I will be ......! So what can I use as a polishing agent because it is important that I maintain its pristine shine and condition, and I heard that the finish gets dull after you clean it with soap water, homemade paste etc .. Cape cod clothes suck. I used those on my Copper Manhattan once and it was God awful![]()
Did you see the Poldiac/OverOne combo? You can pick the Poldiac Classic of your choice and the finish on the Overone.
I almost did that as well, but when it got to checkout it was almost 215 bucks.
I wouldn't clear coat it either. Very difficult to do a perfect job on a tube.
Wrap it or use a microfiber cloth and good polishing compound. You can buy both in the automotive department of Walmart, etc.
I use those microfiber cloths on my vehicles and TVs and computer monitor also.
