Here's my finished vape stand. Had trouble getting a good pic of a black stand so this is before I loaded it up.

Yea don't use any compounds on it yet, just wipe it off. Once you start using polish, you will need to keep on using it more often. My brass paps is still in shiny condition after just wiping it down. Or wear gloves when using the mod my opinion. I do that sometimes when I don;t feel like polishing the brass SR.

Just got email from MMV, Poldiac is on the way, like you said here on Wednesday. Woo hoo!!!!!

I was so thinking about going straight "MJ" with a white glove  I have heard before that if you use a compound to polish then you will need to polish more often.

I expect to see some fantastic porn from you guys later in the week .. but please post in the MMV or Poldiac Fan club thread. This thread is already off its rails

*sigh*... I really should have ordered an Overone with my Poldiac. I didn't realize they were available in 22.6mm. I'm almost positive I need a satin one to go on my Full Satin Classic. I could have saved about $23 in shipping charges had I done my homework earlier. Out the door now would be $100.35 using the discount code Ms. Nicole posted.

 Yup  ... I got the OverOne in satin/22.6mm, and I can't wait to finally get it set up, but that prolly will not be until the end of this week though. $100 bucks shipped from Greece for a high end atty is still a good deal IMO. You will pay more than that for the average authentic RDA here in the states, especially a newly released one. I think the OverOne only came out in December??

That's gonna be sweet, I was eyeing the Belail for a long time. I was afraid the brass will get ugly yellow over time. :(

Then The RW and Freddy :D was on my list, but major fingerprint magnet. I would go crazy wiping it down.

But I have my mind set on the Aname. :p

I love the RW, its the first Poldiac I ever saw when Rick Weschler reviewed it 2 years ago .. that is when I fell in love with the Poldiac  Fingerprints is the ONLY reason I didn't get it. I think the RW looks like a diamond, it has the effect. But I am also a huge fan of satin or brushed finishes with polished accents, and the Miriam is gorgeous :) I spend a good part of every day just looking at

I had a very hard time choosing between the Cloud Wizard and the Mariam. I like the slotted shirt but I think it makes the switch area look a little too busy compared to the rest of the mod. I guess you can't go wrong with either. Wouldn't hurt so bad if didn't pick up a brass 4nine for Jvapes sale literally the day before. I guess I'm sucker for authentic sales.

Yup! The bargain hunter in me doesn't stop! Which is funny today because once upon a time I was not like this. I was seriously the person who never looked at price tags on anything, if I wanted it, I bought it, and I have always had finer tastes in things. One day my Mother, who is the Master of Lord & Taylor sale shopping "showed me the light" ... I have been a different shopper ever since. :D

I don't want things "cheap" as much I want them "cheaper" And I totally get a kick out of the fact that my most expensive clone (The Variant) cost twice the amount of anything authentic I have purchased so far ... go figure. :p

Nikki, take a look at Renaissance Wax. Then when time comes for maintenance, heard a lot of good things about Nevr Dull. On the crappy backup computer again, so sorry, no links... :(

While I was driving yesterday, I realized that the black finish on my SMPL was coming off with my fingernails  so needless to say, it was pretty much down to badly clearcoated polished brass by the time I got home. So now I know why they come out with black mods: they're the ones that didn't pass QC! But jeez, they could've at least primed it first. :grr: Not really sure what to do with it from here. Leave it, or Candy Apple Red?

How is the black Praxis btw? Is it crappy? I still have not used the Limwell SS or the SXK Brass, so I don't know how they are ... Also Cindy, did I happen to accidentally send you my kick inside the Praxis tube?? And if so, is it wrong for me to ask for it back?

Ok I need some opinions .. so, I have the Paps Lux coming, and I want the aluminium bronze to look new forever, no patina, no smudging, just brand new. Would it be awful it I clear coated my brand new Lux tube?

I know Jwraps has clear wraps for the Lux 2.5, but they don't have them listed for the V3 ... and their clears wraps are $13.50, a can of Rustoleum clear coat is $4 bucks :glare:
Do you want my advice on maintaining brass mods?

Oh wow Audrey did you make this?

Not completely. Had one all designed, and went into Hobby Lobby and found that for $20. It needed modification, but I couldn't make one for $20, so I bought it. I knocked out 4 dividers and made a 3" tall hexagon block to raise the middle as it was too deep. Then lined the whole thing with felt. But, now it holds 12 large box mods and 6 mechs easily. And has little drawers for drip tips and other stuff. If I need more room down the road  I can make one that fits alongside it and matches.

Thanks again for that, btw. :) Sorry I haven't officially acknowledged that yet - been so busy over here, then computer problems again. :grr: After the SMPL, I've been afraid to take it out of the box until after all the pics are done. I'm good at Photoshop, but not THAT good.

And you did leave your Kick in there. No prob, not something I ever plan to use. It would've just sat in the box. I'll get it out in the mail tomorrow. :)

Sorry for the inconvenience honey .. I was looking all over for that thing last night. Thought I left it in the Paps tube that Halfempty sent me, when I couldn't find it, it dawned on me that I may have left in the black Praxis tube because I remember I stuck it in there to see if it would fit  I never actually used in there, and I clearly forgot to take it back out

Don't forget to thank our boo halfempty for the cutey kitty drip tip, that was his special love gift to you  I have mine attached to a Kayfun right now :D

That is awesome hun :) I am actually waiting for a 25 hole acrylic mod stand from FT that I am going to use for tanks instead ... Sigh, I need it to come now :p

Spent the afternoon banging out the Vaping Cheap eGrip review. Man, this reviewing stuff is sort of like work, lol. I don't know how you can bang reviews out like you do Nikki.

I ditched the Slug review. I re-wrote it several times before I decided I just wasn't going to produce the level of content I was hoping for. So, I just moved the eGrip up in the queue. I'm not sure when it will go live... but, one thing I learned from writing the review is just how much I like the eGrip. It is totally not a device which I thought would dovetail with my vaping style but dang if the little thing hasn't been in my pocket every day since receiving it. It really is a fantastic device. I wasn't sure I was going to keep it long term but now I'm thinking I will. I need to get the RBA base for it pronto.

That is very cool, I have a desk thingy like that that I use for some of my gear and juice but it's plain jane rectangular shape. I filled it and need something bigger, I'll have to keep an eye out for one like that, good job! :)

I'll second the Renaissance Wax recommendation. I'm at 4 months on a brass 4nine, still looks almost like I just polished it. The Nevr Dull wadding is good for general polishing. Gives a decent shine and is much less messy than a polish. Not 100% mess free but much better. Personally if I'm going to Renaissance Wax something I'll take the time to use a good polish on it. I love Wenol, a German made polish. When I'm done polishing I've got a great shiny finish. Its even got a bit of sealant to help keep the shine but I like the combo of it and the wax. When I'm done I've got a few messy tissues or paper towels and enough black oxides over quite a bit of my fingers that I need to wash them. Compared to Nevr Dull where I may have a spot or two of black on my fingers which I just wipe off and just a single wipe which I use to clean up after the wadding. Which is why I still use it even though I have the Wenol.

All 3 can be gotten from Amazon. About $20 for the Renaissance Wax, $10 for both the Nevr Dull and Wenol. You can most likely find the Nevr Dull wadding in the gun department of any big box store. I know Walmart has it. While you're on Amazon, consider getting some No-ox-id. The small 2oz size is more than a lifetime supply. Best thing out there to keep threads clean and electrically conductive.

My typical process on a new brass or copper mod. Polish with Wendol. Get all the threads of the top cap, section joints and the switch with No-ox-id. Put it all together and finish with Renaissance Wax. Keeps the mod looking and firing like new much longer than any other process I've tried.

Did that on my Asmart Poldiac clone, configured with brass pants and shirt over stainless steel body. 4 months of daily use and its still hitting well and is nice and shiny ;)

Writing product reviews is for sure work, and often times hard work and very time consuming. I think many people underestimate how much work it actually is, especially if you intend to be any good at it.

I am not surprised to hear your feelings about the Egrip, I have only heard raves about it and actually want one, but have not gotten one because I know that I will not get to enjoy it as much as I would like and it will end up on a shelf. Focal has Genuine Joyetech Egrips in the US warehouse, and I was surprised to not hear anyone here saying they got one ... I think its cute too.

But you know what I did get? The Joyetech Ego One, do not sleep on this little thing because it really puts out and its so nice looking. Its like a minature mech/RBA set up and they were definitely taking some cue from high end gear set up .. not that is is high end, but I can see that they were trying to recreate a similar aesthetic and I think its well done. Now .. too bad I don't like the juice I put in it at the moment, but the vape quality is very good. Newbies would be so happy to use this.
