Yes, as the title indicates, this tastes as good if not better than a dripper! Better than a kayfun or genisis with mesh. In fact I am astounded that this is possible. The Focloud is a 22mm diameter tank with a capacity for 3.5 ml. All 304 stainless steel. The tank is very thick Pyrex. It works by reverse vacuum, the deck is under the tank. The air-tube runs down the center and exits at the base of the tank. It has an ajustable airflow ring with two holes, opposite of each other. The center pin is adjustable. It can be set up as dual or single coil. Two deep juice wells on either side of deck. The juice enters the deck from 4 slots in the base of the tank. The juice flow is adjustable. Machining is Outstanding. The body is polished to a high shine finish. Length is 56.5mm. This tank keeps up with my chain-vaping, no dry hits at all and no leaking! I am just amazed at this tank, being a hard-core dripper have never found one to match the flavor dripping gave me. But this excels at flavour. Not to mention it it Gorgeous. It comes with a spare parts bag which includes a cotton pad. This is made by a relatively new company, Focus Ecigs. They are based in China and they are all about innovation. I think they are producing some outstanding atomizers. I set it up with micro coils, cotton wicks at 1.7 ohms combined. It must be filled from the bottom of the tank, holding the tank upside down, before threading the base onto it. there is a video on setting it up on youtube. I put this on my Precise 18350 Workhorse and it is a keeper! I am very impressed with the quality and innovation of Focus Ecigs products.

VaporDNA does have it. After a couple days, first impressions. Built it with dual verticals, 2mm id 10 wraps each 30 gauge Ni200 and Rayon set to 18W at 410F. Given the screw locations not sure how a horizontal build would work. Great flavor on par with Rose V2 at first. However, after vacuum in top of tank builds up, juice flow slows and therefore doesn't sustain as much power and therefore doesn't vaporize as much e-Liquid as well as the Rose V2 with a single coil for chain vaping with 100VG. So flavor density at first is good then gets weaker. And I left the juice ring off. If I close the AFC and draw sharply it bubbles and flows juice and is back to good flavor for a bit. Like most attys thinner e-Liquid will work better. Air flow less restrictive than Rose V2. Adjustable 510 center post SS screw with flat blade slot. Can remove build deck without emptying tank. I fill it by holding tank against top cap and unscrewing tank bottom cap and deck together. Highly polished and decent threads. Does not come with drip tip. Does come with a couple screws, o-rings, and OC. I like the concept but out of box first build, the Rose V2 performed better for me. I'll have to try opening the juice passages a little.

You might just want to leave the juice flow ring off if your juice is kinda thick.

I don't know what they mean by "reverse" vacuum. The vacuums works like any other tank. There is one at the top of the tank that helps restrict juice flow. Then there is the vacuum in the vaporization chamber created by your draw due to the greatest air restriction being before the vaporization channel/juice channels. The vacuum created by your draw is supposed to overcome the vacuum at the top of the tank by pulling juice in. With other attys there is also restriction from wicking being in the juice channels that has to be overcome. There is a reverse flow of air through the juice channels. As tank vacuum builds up it will pull air in through the juice channels resulting in bubbles inside the tank rising to the top. Bubbles are good. Without them, dry hits. If the seal at the top of the tank or chimney comes loose then the tank will flood and leak. What makes these different, the Focloud, and Rose V2 and to some extent the Flash E and Taifun GT2 is there is a well for the juice below the air port in the vaporization chamber that reduces the probability of flooding and leaks especially siphon leaks. That's how vacuum works on all tanks including this one. The juice wells on the Focloud is the deepest I have seen in a tank and there is no wicking in the juice channels per se but the vacuum principles are the same. So I'm not sure what they mean.

I have noticed that if the juice level is 2/3 or less it keeps up just fine with chain vaping at 18W and 410F. Over that fill level and it doesn't. Which isn't the first time I've seen that with my 100VG. A smaller air pocket at the top of the tank has more vacuum then a larger air pocket. But most tanks need around 20% of volume for an air pocket. This one likes a tad more. That may be due to my wicking. I'll have to change it next build and see.

So I would say altitude changes will pull in more juice but it has very deep juice wells in the vaporization chamber so it might be enough depending on the amount of vacuum/altitude change but it will draw in juice like every other atty. If the air pressure in the vaporization chamber drops due to altitude then that is like creating a vacuum by your draw. It will pull juice into the vaporization chamber wells. Given they are so deep below the air holes then there is a lot more margin.

Temperature I'm not sure. Since the air volume in the vaporization chamber is open to the atmosphere through the drip tip and air inlets like every other tank, then I would think the issue is an e-Liquid viscosity relative to temperature issue more than a prime gas law issue. As the viscosity is lowered (heat) then air can reverse flow easier. As viscosity increases (cool) then air reverse flow is more difficult. Again the wells will provide margin.

So I would say the Focloud will provide more margin due to the deep juice wells to floods and leaks caused by pressure and temperature changes. In that regard, it is very similar to the Flash-E. That doesn't mean it won't. It just means it is more resistant and less likely.

The question is laying it on its side. If the wicking fills the wells and it isn't over saturated then it should be fairly resistant to leaking on its side. But if the wicking just dips in the wells then I would think it will leak. That's slightly different from the Flash-E as the wicking is either through the juice ports or touching them in typical builds so it is always resistant. However if extra wicking isn't packed in its well or its over saturated then any juice that is in the well will leak out the air hole if put on its side where the air hole is.

Forgot to take pics on first build so took some on re-wick.

Above it is built with dual verticals, 2mm, 10 wraps each, 30 gauge Ni200 and Rayon wick with DNA-40 set to 18W at 410F. Take a long pinch of Rayon and roll it and flatten it then divide in two and twist the ends and snip. Feed the ends through on the inside between the posts so when pulled, the wrap on the outside is flat against coil to prevent interference with the chimney when it is screwed on. It is best to insert a mandrel in the coil when tightening to prevent wicking from cutting through the coil and obstructing the airflow. Then snip the ends with good overhang and tuck them in the juice wells. Use screwdriver to adjust wicking so the coils are fully covered.

Pretty much like I do all vertical builds just with longer tails to go in the deep juice wells.

I did drill out the four juice holes in the tank bottom cap to 1.6mm. So far it works better on an 80% fill and its sustaining 18W. We'll see what transpires as the tank empties.

Nice build, good wicking!
I've been vaping the flash e for about a year straight with rayon, wondering if it can actually get any better. Able to run 30-40w with the air screw out... Will have a look at this piece, as I haven't been able to do verticals (vcore) on the FEV. It looks interesting, but not if it doesn't sustain the power I want.

I'm not sure it can but maybe.

I like the Flash-E, it is very good though I find side air is a little different vape so I'd stick with that if you like it. I don't see how vertical in it would make any difference given the side air flow but who knows.

I'm not sure that the Focloud like many attys will see 30-40 watts for me. As I prefer TP, using Ni200 limits what can be done on any given atty because to get to .2 ohms especially on a dual needs long many wrap spaced coils. This current build is at .08ohms near the bottom limit for DNA40. Using K1 though it might be possible. The primary limit on the Focloud for verticals is the close proximity of the air hole to the chimney. Larger diameter coils will have to be offset towards the center to give clearance for wicking on the outsides of the coils. Though I have done that before on Foggers and it does work. The BIG Fogger takes massive vertical coils with ease and support 30-50W. The deck posts on the V4s were threaded so they could be removed and a simple screw put in the deck to make vertical builds a whole lot easier. The V5s were press fit posts so you have to drill and tap them for deck screws to easily support verticals. But the Foggers can get leaky. I think with Kanthal, horizontal contact coils on the Focloud is the way to go. Also the single massive vertical coils in the Subtank, Delta II and Atlantis cartridges easily take 30ish Watts and they are not that hard to rebuild though more difficult than the RBA sections for the ST and D2 which take 20ish watts. And dual horizontals in the Silverplay and Goblin can take even higher power. Overall though I haven't found anything better for dual massive vertical power gobbling coils than the BIG Fogger V4. But at those power levels there is so much vapor produced that I literally can't handle it. And had to lower the nic content of my juice.

On next re-wick I'll try OC but on most attys I find Rayon works better regardless of wicking tests. Then I'll go to larger coils and see what I can fit. As it stands right now my favorite is the Rose V2 followed by the Taifun GT2. I'm not sure where to place the Focloud. It could become my favorite or number 2 if I find the magic Ni200 build for it. But the Rose V2 worked well right out of the box with no modifications. Its only downside for me is a slightly tight draw. The Focloud opens up the draw but I had to modify it to better flow my motor oil thick e-Liquid at a 80% fill level. Though out of the box flowed well at 2/3 or less fill.
