Awesome thanks guys I'm soaked! I've got a v2, and I like the build quality as far as being ss n glass over the kayfuns, as well as the open draw I think dual coils with their positioning and the positioning of the air holes will make this thing a winner. S should have pics in a few days!

Throw some pics up if you've got any

Here's a pic from one of my first builds....and I've since learned a thing or two about it....

FoggerWicked.jpg

This build came to .96Ω It did OK, but just wasn't "foggy" enough for me. Current build reads at .47Ω using 5/64" micros with 28ga wire. (Sorry, no pics of this one) My tendency is to want to build larger coils for these things, but the limiting factor seems to be the size of the juice channels. They are not as big as the Aqua, and the cotton wick for a 5/64" coil seems to be just about right for the V4. What has worked best for me, as has been mentioned in the other thread, is to not run your cotton all the way down the juice channels. About 1/3 to 1/2 way down is working well, with no dry hits or flooding.

What I haven't seen mentioned before, and is something I've noticed, is that it's best not to overfill the thing. Wicking issues seem to develop if it's overfilled. I like to fill it (when it's upside down) to just below the rim of the base, still leaving some air space in the tank. It still holds a ton of liquid.

Kick ...! Thanks for the tips! Exactly what I wanted to hear, I currently am looking for a new atty for my father, I was going to get him a kfl+ Clone but I decided to give this a go and see if it's bullet proof enough for him, he's hard on his vamo and does like to maintain anything, but I got him off carto tanks he's using one of my kfls, how do you think this thing will do with a 1.2ish build with ecowool ? I'm trying to limit the maintenance as much as I can for him.

I would not recommend this. For easy maintenance get a KFL+ and a 1ft section of 3mm XC-116 from RBA supplies. Wrap a 2.5 mm coil @ whatever resistance and feed the xc through. Use about 3/4 of an inch and lay the ends down on the deck.

The Fogger V4, is really best suited to cotton. Kayfun has better flavor, Fv4 is good, but Kayfun is better.

Yes I own both. Do love the massive clouds out of the Fv4 @ .5ohms though :)

Man I built a 1 ohm build right when I picked it up and it's killer I can't wait to go lower, I'm getting one for my dad and I wanna run ecowool so he doesn't have to pay with it very much but in thinking that cotton yarn will be just as easy and give him something to do every once in a while.

Man I'm loving this thing!

OK, got one of these today. Not used it yet, I want to give it a good bath in isopropyl alcohol to clean any possible machining oils etc off it first. The build quality seems decent enough for what is essentially a cheap unit. The airflow ring worries me though. It's so loose it's not funny. Has anyone had any thoughts about inserting an O-ring inside the AFC ring? For me, wide open is way too airy, and I need a way of tightening up that ring without jamming it completely.

I've read where others have used a thin o-ring or some dental floss under the o-ring to tighten it up.

I have not been so lucky. The one glaring flaw in my V4 is that I've been unable to unscrew the section just above the air flow control.

I've got in the habit of remembering to check it's position before I vape it, and it holds it's adjustment otherwise while I'm using it.

Thanks for the tip. Actually the floss idea seems to be a winner. I'll try it.

My magic tool for unscrewing uncooperative atty's is to wear latex washing up gloves, the ones with dimples. Gives you great grip. Maybe need to get the atty quite hot to expand it a bit, maybe very hot water. Hope you can get it off without resorting to pliers anyway

So my guy on eBay, vapology, where I got my v4+ from, he is a great seller BTW, says the bigger deck in the new version adds to the pressure in the tank and thus increased wicking. That makes a little bit of sense.

Anyone who has compared the two? I have been waiting for feedback before I ordered another...?
