I used good old pipe cleaners to scrub out all the holes and that's when I found a long spiral metal chip in one of the air holes

    Congratulations lol, it's a Fogger!
Just keep letting it soak and stuff. It will eventually go away. It's really annoying that vaping gear comes like this though.

LoL. Not yet. With the Orchids, ml issue
Sent from my Highly Modified HTC One via Tapatalk

Someone in the orchid thread found a decent solution to getting the full capacity.Instead of a top fill, they are turning it upside down, unscrewing the bottom a bit,and using a syringe with blunt needle to get between the base and tank. They said they are able to get a complete fill that way.I am going to try this on my next fill,as i noticed after top filling and turning it upside down, you only get half capacity, because the top cap is open on the inside, but with filling fromthe top, obviously that is unused space.I am going to get the top fill kayfun cap and see if that helps too.
I can tell you though, dont let the capacity stop you from trying this thing. It's only $20,and in my opinion,it's worth every penny, the air flow is amazing on these. The only real downfall as far as i'm concerned,is the plastic tank,so i cant use some of my juices in it,but i am working on that problem now.The kayfun quartz nano kit fits, but really takes the capacity to barely anything, the full quartz kit is just a bit too tall.I'm going to buy a digital caliper so i can get exact measurements, and check with either ibtanked or bedazzle to see if i can get the correct size glass to use with the rings from the kayfun kit.I figure i already have the quartz kits, and the kayfuns aren't seeing any use,so if i can get the right sized glass to make the orchid what i want it to be,then it may become the perfect rba,and i will only have a bit over $30 into it.That would be the $20 for the rba,and the glass is just over $10,even if i had to buy the quartz kit at $5 from fasttech, thats only around $35,i can tell you they are very much worth it.

For me yes.I am definitely no expert,so i cant say for sure if my coils and wicks are exactly the same, although i'm sure they are very close, and like i said from what i have experienced so far,the flavor is at least as good, possibly a bit better, now for the vapor, that goes hands down to the orchid.I'm not a cloud chaser so it wasn't really an issue either way,but i am getting really thick desnse vapor with this and the clouds are definitely bigger.I think it has to do with the fact that the orchid has bigger air holes, and there is no turbulence so to speak on the draw,it is very smooth, where on both my foggers,i notice just a bit of turbulence, they dont seem to be as smooth on the draw although i have not tried my foggers with the afc removed,so that may change how they draw. It's funny though, before i got the orchid,i did not like a real airy draw, after vaping on it for a few days now,all my other stuff seems like they are to tight of a draw,it has me wanting to run to the garage and start drilling them all out haha.
Like i said, for $20,it's definitely worth a try,if you don't like it,i doubt you would have any problem selling it and making your money back.I have seen a few people who are having issues with the screws, but mine came perfect,i am going to try and figure out the size to change them to a phillips screw for ease of setup, but for now the stock ones seem to work fine.

I do also believe that it beats the out the Fogger in flavor and vapor...but the juice capacity does suck! The FT Kayfun easy fill kit won't work with full size quartz kit...see pic

This is what fits for the KFL+v2 full size tank. There is room to modify the easy fill cap, but I have no machine shop connections where I am in FL...in NY yes, here, no:-(

The Easy Fill, RIGHT would need some work to put on FULL size tank, but it should be good on the Quartz Nano Kits. Being a quick easy fill, I HOPE, this should make it worth while to those teeter tottering on the idea of trying one out. REALLY, juice capacity IS my biggest gripe.

That being said, I am SO looking forward to the Sigelei 100 and topping it with a Buddha, but I am just as anxious for the easy fill topcap as I won't have any gripe with the Orchid at that point!!!

This is my GOTO atomizer...even with the juice capacity issue.

    facts and comments:
-says 4.0 on the chimney and topcap
-single piece chimney, does not dissemble
-no improved filling hole on deckside; no slice into the base above threads to allow bigger hole (thus it can't be 4.3 or 4.1 (aka 4.4)
-post heights different one from the other
    -no threadings beneath AFC ring
-seems to be the thinner chimney
-build deck seems to be 12mm
-juice channels seem shallow; less than half a circle grooves vertical and horizontal

what are we looking at here folks? is this is a clone or a very early fogger v4?

    tnx

kiwi; do you see any shortcomings here; will it vape well? any issues with the AFC ring? i can always use some plumbers tape or slightly take the circle out of the ring to make it grip somewhat...

i have the option to return so if you see disadvantages of a 4.3 clone (without the improved filling hole) let me know.

    why do you suspect clonage?

doesnt the 4.3 have a 15mm deck as well? would a 4.3 have such shallow channels? not sure...

    tnx!

    I think it's a clone because:
    1) all authentic fogger v4 have the chimney which seperates into the barrel and the funnel section. This is very important (IMO) because it lets you fix the wick in the event that screwing on the barrel section grabs and wraps the wick

    2) only the first fogger v4 has that style of AFC. 4.2 onwards uses a AFC which screws upwards and downwards to adjust the airflow.

In your case, your atty has the wide deck which only the 4.3 had, yet has the AFC of the 4.1

In terms of possible issues.... IMO both AFC ring sucked. So not much issue there per se. Lol.

The other 2 which I think might affect performance:

    1) the juice channel looks a little shallower than the authentic
    2) having the chimney that can be disassembled into 2 separate section is important (IMO) lets you inspect and ensure that the wicks are ok. And trust me: wicking is EVERYTHIBG for the fogger v4

If I were you, I would return it and get an authentic. It's like 28 bucks.

Sold! Thanks for taking the time to compare the two.
No problem,i think most who try it will like it.Don't get me wrong,i love my fogger,i am using it right now,but i like options, plus the more tanks i have means i can have that much more variety at my fingertips without having to change one to something else.I still want to try the newest fogger,as mine are a 4.0 and a 4.1,so i will be buying another of those here soon, hopefully i can find a place that sells both the newest fogger and the orchid,as i will be picking up another of these too.

I have 2 authentic foggers and 1 clone, and my clone has the same chimney as yours, so I am sure it is a clone, but got to say my clone works just as well as 2 authentic foggers, and my clone came with glass and steel tank, also was cheaper, so no complaints on the clone for me personally.
