Good tips. I thought the coils naturally sat a little high. I'll try that. The AFC I can fix and it looks like they already updated to correct the problem.

Rebuilt the Fogger tonight for a little higher resistance. Previous build at 0.6Ω was a bit hot for my taste.
Tonight I went with 30ga wire, 1/16"ID microcoils, 9 wraps each. Honestly, I was hoping for closer to .8, but this is working very well. Dropping a wrap would have probably got me closer to what I was shooting for.
This build is wicking perfectly....
On the V3 Flip with a cool shorty drip tip I picked up for it today:

So i hear that the Aqua tanks and the fogger tanks are interchangeable. So my question is how many people here own an Aqua but are still going to get the FV4
interchangeable? Aqua is SS tank, 21mm diameter with the option of replacing with a polycarbonate tank, about 2.5ml max capacity; fogger has a glass tank, non threaded and is way longuer and 22mm diameter.
I'm not sure if you were just meaning the similarities of the build deck or the possibility to actually use one tank for the other.
That being said, I own an Aqua clone and have a clear tank for it, and I have a black Fogger V4 on order from Fasttech, so count me in on your list!
I ordered one and I have two aqua and a Gus Estia. I love this style of tank.

Where did you hear that? I need a new tank so it would be great if they are interchangable. Can anybody confirm this? I'll have to measure my glass tank section the next time I clean it. Forgot last time lol.
My Fogger V4 glass tank broke the other day and the steel tank from the Aqua is a perfect fit. I have been using it the last couple of days and it is totally leak free. I ordered a couple of clear tanks for the Aqua and one is definitely going to go into the Fogger.
I actually read it from the guy who just posted above this post EDO is his forum name. (this will be very weird if someone gets a post in before i finish typing this). Anyway its mention in the Fogger V4 tank replacemnt thread.
Ah thanks for the info. The vendor I got it from also wrote they will have "official" replacement tanks in a week or so. They might be cheaper than the aqua tanks.
They already have officil replacment tanks on Ebay. Just type in Fogger v4 and you will see them.
Have rebuilt the kayfun many times this seems to be very similiar to the kayfun setup.
What's the reason for running the wicks part way down into the threads? Has anybody tried it not doing this? I know with kayfun we are just laying the wick on the deck

I heard too that you aren't supposed to "block" the wick channels for Kayfun style tanks but I don't understand why not. 1mm ekowool fits into them rather good, without squeezing etc. So I tried that and it works. I figure if you don't block the channels and put the wick on the bottom, you rely on air pressure to suck in the liquid and maintain an equilibrium depending of liquid / air pressure / air flow. But then I imagine the liquid would be in the atomizer chamber and it might get flooded if the equilibrium is disturbed. With wicks in the channels maybe you rely more on the wicking of the ekowool than on the negative air pressure to suck eliquid into the chamber, but for me it works so far (30ga dual 1.2mm dual microcoil 0.8 ohm @ 16 watts). I don't really chain vape though.

It's more similiar to the aqua. You run the wick inside the vertical juice channel. Generally you want the wick ends to just touch the base were the vertical and horizontal channels meet.
It's just a different setup (though similar in that it uses a chimney and is bottom coiled) to the kayfun.
I am pretty sure it would flood if you dont have enough wick inside the channels themselves. They are pretty wide and there are four of them as this is a dual coil device. Kayfun have much smaller holes coming under the chimney.

This set up is similar to the Aqua set up. For me the only difference is that I go half way down the channels vs the Aqua where my cotton goes all the way down. One advantage this has over the Kayfun set up is that you can make the draw as loose as possible (way looser than Kayfuns) or as tight as possible (much tighter than the Kayfun) and you never get dry hits or flooding. I don't think it will work as well if you set it up like a kayfun. I think this is becoming my favorite atomizer....it just works really really well.
