Also got my Fogger V4+ today. After one burned up coil and one burned up wick, I sucessfuly have twin #500 mesh wicks running in it. The vape is incredible! The flavor is absolutely intense. No issues so far with wicking but I can certainly tell I'm going to need to do something about the air flow control ring being so easy to move. Very happy though with the results! Hits harder than my AGA-T2 on mesh by far.

I really would like to see a SS Mash build on Fogger V4+, could you publish some pictures?
What prevents it from leaking?

I present you all with my Fogger V4+ (4.3 I believe) #500 SS Mesh build.

1.jpg
Looking into the chamber. Those are 9 wrap microcoils of 28g kanthal (wrapped them around a 1/16" drill bit) on #500 SS Mesh.

2.jpg
View from above without the chamber surrounding on. You can see the wicks have made themselves a home inside the channels. I actually just positioned them and let the cover kind of push them down in the rest of the way. I was worried about them shorting due to the oxidation being rubbed off but I've removed the chamber circle multiple times now and it seems to be holding up quite well.

3.jpg
Angled view here. You can see my coils aren't exactly the straightest in the world. This was my very first complete working build though on any kayfun style atty ever so, I figured it didn't come out too bad for a first try (I'm used to my AGA-T2 with a single wick/coil).

4.jpg
I attempted to try to bend the wicks into a U-shape prior to installing but that ended up being a futile attempt. I simply put them into the coils straight (slowly twisted them in) and then just very carefully bent the ends down into the channels. Each wick end has a very small 45 degree angle tip.

5.jpg
You can see that the chamber cover clearly has left it's mark a bit on the wick in this picture but the wick seems to fill the channels quite well. The wicks were very very small when I made them; they weren't made completely solid though. I'd say a very small sewing needle may be able to fit inside them.

It's pretty much the most flavorful build I've ever done (I'm not really a cotton/silica/ekowool/etc person). I usually position the airflow control ring somewhere between half-way and full-open and I haven't had a single dry-hit yet. Also, when filling I too have noticed it'll leak out the mouthpiece if I'm not careful. As for any other leaking, I usually treat this like a genesis so I haven't left it on its side for any extended period of time yet; I have no idea at this time if it'll leak (my guess is it very well might). By the way, I'm vaping this on an un-kicked KTS-100+ mechanical mod right now with an Orbtronic 10A 18650 in there. I have a new black Stingray clone coming in a few days to complete the overall look.

Anyways, overall I'm extremely happy with the Fogger V4; only thing I'm sad about is having the decreased volume version since I really was looking forward to having 5-6ml on me at all times. The ebay listing I purchased it from stated 6ml and "newest version" but clearly they were not aware of the version changes and I took a chance and grabbed it. Okay, that's all for now!

I've been reading that pretty much no one experiences leaking with this atty. I've been experiencing leaking through the airholes, which means it's coming probably from the liquid that is retained in the cotton dropping through the airholes. Could this potentially be fixed with adding a little bit more cotton onto the channels? As of right now I only have a tiny bit in order to avoid dry hits.

Absolutely, the rule I follow is leaking is too little cotton but you just want a tiny tiny bit more, I tell first timers to reduce cotton till it leaks then increase a tiny bit and your perfect.

I cut my wick tails at 45 degrees from the tip back to the coil and it makes it just right.

Your prolly very close.

Thanks a lot mate. It's not MASSIVELY leaking, I sometimes look at it and I see a few drops of juice around the airholes but it's vaping wonderfully, zero dry hits.

How tall do you have your coils from the airhole, I wonder if having parts of the wick resting in the deck base could cause that since they're saturated with juice it may very well drop from the cotton into the base and into the hole it goes

You could probably get away with pushing your coils down towards the hole , giving you a bit more wick, but you probably have one channel of the 4 that's a little thinner or shorter that's causing that leak. It doesn't mean that both your wicks are too short on both sides...

I'm wicking with rayon now, it's totally .....en, it's faster, cleaner and lasts way longer than cotton, I'm gonna throw parallel wrapped coils in and see how it goes, I'm thinking it's going to be killer. I just put parallels in some drippers and their way better than twisted wire coils.

Email sent. Too bad they're not offering in black.
I got my reply from angelcigs today. They say those are pictures of the actual product they sell.

Which means anyone who wants an original V4 of the Fogger can get one. I believe that these are V4.0 since they don't seem to even have the copper / brass center pin on the 510 connector which was the first improvement they did. Or was it to move to the threaded airflow ring?

I've been wanting to but want to empty this tankful first. Trouble is I choose to fill my Fogger with a tobacco flavor, which is harsher and has higher nic than my Kayfuns. Now that they're rewicked with rayon the dryness of my cotton Fogger build, combined with the extra nic and harshness of the e-liquid in it makes it almost too strong a vape by comparison to the Kayfuns. So its taking me awhile to empty the Fogger :(

But I do plan to rewick and refill with the same tobacco, see how it tastes with CCr (rayon) instead of cotton.

Hey have you tried the rayon wick yet check out the thread, I've been using it and it's great, better than cotton...

LOL, yeah, and it's kind of embarrassing. A while back I asked my wife for (another) handful of cotton balls, and she reached into the bathroom closet and handed them to me. Little did I know she had restocked from Sally's and had switched to Rayon!! I have no idea how long I've been using it, at least a couple of months now....I was wondering why I wasn't tasting cotton after a re-wick, and I was REALLY wondering how I was getting my Boba's wicks to last so damn long, I just narcissistically assumed I was getting pretty good at this stuff!

Take a pic of her bag, does it have any numbers on it?
Lol, yeah it'd be handy to have a source other than that 500' box which seems to be the smallest most stores stock. I'd think they'd be way more likely to stock "cotton" balls over the small 40' box of CCr.
