Hmm... if everything else is good I'd check is for crud at the threads of the positive pin where it screws into the post and the threads of the negative post where it screws onto the deck.

It arrived with a crooked airhole. I drilled/corrected it first.

All threads are cleaned. I tapped them out yesterday. It's always been like that even before the screws were stripped. It's going ok for now. Just wished I put good juice in instead. Thought it wasn't going to work and leak so I put some juice I don't use. Ewww!!! Time to empty and throw in something else.

Always thought it was a very weird looking RDA. Then someone explained that the point of the huge triangle chunk of metal was to reduce the size of the chamber for better flavor. Once I got that the rest of the design made sense and became aesthetically pleasing to my eye. How does the large version work? Because I know sometimes the scaled up version is a disappointment in comparison to the small version.

from what i can tell, the tight draw is from the center tube that goes up the middle being very small and restrictive with no taper at either end.
It works, but NOT 50% better then the small one, as I mistakenly expected. But it sure uses twice the power and twice the liquid comparing to the small one. With that heavy 22 Gauge wire, I didn't dare to put dual coil in it (Have been there, done that). Next, I'm going to try 24 Gauge dual coil setup because it is really designed for dual coil.

So, since I have the air control ring off my Fogger, I decided to see about cutting it down. It took about a half hour to do using a Dremel with a grinding wheel then 1/4 sheet of 220 grit wet or dry to get the grind marks out followed by a 1/4 sheet of 600 grit to polish it nicely. I made a "jig" by tapping lightly on the ring about an inch from the end of a scrap of 2x6. Then I used a screwdriver blade to make a deeper circle. Then it was just a question of using the Dremel and spinning it in that groove to cut it down. It came out looking factory machined.
Unfortunately, even with the smooth part of the ring removed it still covers a little of the original air holes, and I plan on drilling them out to 2.4mm. So I guess I'll be doing the same trick, again, with the other smooth part that's left.

I hate to disappoint you, but cutting the airflow control ring down does not make any difference, other then it alters the appearance of the device.To prove my point, just remove that ring completely off and try to vape your Fogger without it. When you look at your Fogger, it looks like AFC ring is obstructing the airhole, and that may be so if we were talking about a beam of light coming out of the airhole. But the air uses all possible routes to get in and there are plenty of them available. However, drilling your airhols works.

You know, I thought the same thing, AMD. Then I took it off and the air flow is dramatically higher which is why I am going to drill the air holes out (when the bits get here). It was chamfered on the inside edges, but nowhere nearly enough to not obstruct the air flow. I think of air flow as being very similar to water flow. Any turn or partial obstruction can make a large difference in the amount of flow. When the ring was screwed al the way up, the holes were still 2/3 covered and at least 1/2 of what was covered was beyond the top edge of the chamfer. That means 1/3 of the hole was still covered.
I do wonder if the difference in hole sizes from the horizontal holes and the verticals up to the coils is actually part of the design. It won't effect overall volume, based on the capacity of the smaller, horizontal holes, but will cause a significant drop in velocity. That could have been part of the original design.

The Orchids at FT are getting cheaper every time I look but they look just too close to v4+ Foggers (deck) with less juice capacity. I just can't seem to get one in my cart.
The only way I'd do it is with a quartz kit and I still don't think it's going to be enough of an edge over the Fv4 to get me very excited...
The v2 is only $11 at fasttech,well worth it to see what your missing.I do like my fogger's,but they dont really compare with the orchid,only advantage the fogger has is the glass and a bit larger capacity.The draw on the orchid is far better if you do lung hits as well.My quartz kits will be here tommorow,and sent out tommorow evening to be cut to size for the orchid,so hopefully next week the plastic tank wont be an issue anymore,and if it works out,i will pass along the info.
So basically what you said is the Fogger is better than the Orchid in every way except for a slightly tighter draw?

I, personally, can't stand the fact that the chimney is all one piece. Once you put it on - you can't see what happened to your wicks and coils.
That would be correct, and if you wanted toy could spend ten minutes with a drill and get just as wide if not wider airholes..
Lol I bought the v1 and v2 orchid.
Not a fogger killer by a mile. The flavor off my 4.2 and 4.4 is better.
That said, the wire posts are a joy to work with. That's it's only saving grace
