I guess im not to savvy on the different fogger versions but the version I have(or at least my particular fogger) is really airy just stock. I mean its so very easy to lung hit this atty even with the ring blocking off 3/4 of the holes(which is all the way open because the ring doesn't open any further). this fogger is a pretty decent vape but the most annoying thing is the gap between the chimney and glass. this gap must be microscopic because its hard to fill and almost impossible to syring juice out. what I now do, or have done since purchasing a while ago is just to take off top tank and pour out juice while holding the glass downwards. so there is a 4.4 version now? how is this fogger compared to previous versions?

Yeah, one of these days I'm going to put a fill hole in the top cap.

Fair enough. (but this is kind of like arguing over who's the hotter Playboy centerfold, a blond or a brunette. They'll both get the job done (for any of us), but one is way bigger up top and needs less plastic surgery than the other one)

My guess is if you drilled the air holes larger in your Fogger, you'd be making similar vapor.

Good point, dont take me the wrong way, just gotta give all the fogger fans a hard time sometimes haha,by the way Brunettes are way hotter haha.

When I refilled my Fogger this morning I put the modified air control ring back on with the chamfered part down. The air flow is ALMOST as good with it wide open as it is with it not on but I still sound like Darth Vader. Next refill the second chamfered section is coming off. Before I did this there was no way to take a real lung draw on this thing, I'd have passed out from lack of air! I'll try to get a photo as it stands now and after the final grinding to the air ring and drilling out the air holes.
I would say we both have the same version,as the symptoms you have found on yours are exactly what i have with mine,so i am definitely interested in seeing how the ring looks now after cutting it down. This sounds like a better looking option over drilling the ring.

On my Fogger, version 4.0 the threads on the air ring go all the way to the edge, see the pics below. From what other have said, some version's have an undercut on the ring, the threads having been cut away near the edge and that lets some air slip under the ring. That probably explains why some report better air flow with the ring taken off and others do not. If your air ring has the under cut, trimming it may not make much of a difference, but I can't see where it would hurt anything either.

It amazes me how many different versions of this there are for the short time that it has been out.I knew there were 4.0,4.1,etc.,but that 4.0 you have is different from my 4.0 so that makes another version. My 4.1 has the threaded ring, but my 4.0 came with that very loose fitting ring that has the holes in it to line up with the holes in the base, and it fits so loosely that it will spin if look at it haha.On that one,i just took the ring off, since there are no threads on the base,it looks ok without the ring.

By the way BNEAT,I forgot to mention,i have actually been back to using my fogger daily for the last 3 days because i was missing my cinamon danish juice that would probably crack the tank in the orchid,so see,i really do still like and use my fogger haha.

Only tanks I am using at the moment, is 3 foggers and 1 custom russian/kayfun, been tempted by the Orchid, but that 1 piece chimney, plastic tank and low capacity tank has made me stay away from it, they resolve them issues, then I will jump on the Orchid band wagon, but otherwise, I will stick with the foggers :)

Divrr, I'm assuming that you hd what we refer to as the 4.3, it had a bit later deck than the other versions, hence the small gap between the glass n chimney.
As far s the draw is concerned your right is very open compared to other rebuildable tank attys. Glad you like it, if you ever have any questions this is the place.

it does have a decent size deck for sure. I also have modded the channels, now I can actually run wick tails down. performance wise there is no real difference, just easier to wick. Thanks

I have a fogger v4.3 with stripped threads (positive post). Thanks to AMD for pointing out a means to get a tap and some replacement screws from amazon. Only issue for me is that I live in Canada and Amazon dot ca does not stock the taps I need. They will not allow me to order those from the american site. I've tried many different places to find a tap small enough with no luck. Most places do not carry the high speed steel taps, just the cheaper ones which I do not trust to use. There is literally nothing locally that i can get to fix my fogger. Does anybody know where I can get a hss tap m2.0 in canada besides ebay(i removed my account due to having an issue with the security and now do not trust them). The place i purchased my fogger from will not help me out, they are telling me I must have stripped it by over tightening it. however i barely put any pressure and it popped. Finding metric small screws and taps is like pulling hens teeth around here.

Short of someone in the US being helpful and ordering for you I don't have a suggestion. Can't you try buying on eBay and using the PayPal guest account process to make a 1 time credit card purchase? Just offering random most likely useless ideas. :(

What you have is V4.3 with larger deck and airholes but smaller capacity (only 3.0 Ml)
I've got so annoyed with filling mine up, a long time ago, so I went ahead and made it a Top Filler:

Makes it a whole lot easier to fill it now. I even drilled one for one of our ECF members too.

    1. If you want to ship it to me (with paid return postage) I will gladly re-thread it for you and will give you new screws for free.
    2. Or, maybe it is more feasible for you to buy a new Positive Post for $4.95 here: Fogger v4 Positive Post Block + Insulator / Authentic Replacement Part / Genuine Fogger v4 Spare Part

    Sitting down, facing forward.
Nice clean job! How's it hit for ya now?

It hits almost as well as having the ring off. I'm going to drill out the air holes, as soon as the bits get here, and remove the remaining smooth section of the air ring. I think that will give some control and not block even the bigger holes at all.
