Thanks bsoplinger! ur right that extra length makes it a pain but the adapter solved that mess. This is the second infinite i have had and both have been very nice clones as far as threading and finish go. The infinite would have been more user friendly if it was a 1:1 but it worked out for me since i didnt like that brass top cap much and i dont think the hybrid adapter would work on a true 4nine.

Just bought a Fogger 4.1 at a local B&M. Looking forward to building it. I just want to start with a single coil, modest build. How should one wick it? Like a kayfun?
Gonna have to build it dual coil or block off two juice channels or it will flood easily.

It pretty much needs a coil over each airhole.

Depends on wick material. I built mine like a Kayfun instead of an Aqua when I used cotton and even more so now that I use rayon. Just a hint of wick in the channel (more like a Kayfun) rather than fully filling it (like the Aqua) and never had a leak.

I like this RTA better than the Kayfun, myself. Even though a total n00b, I got a really nice build and vape out of it. First try. The Kayfun really threw me, and I still can't get it to not leak (unless I build it to block the feed holes). Once done up right (I did get the Kayfun right after 3 tries, fogger 1 try, even with duals) it is an awesome tank. Lots of flavor, if you wind and wick it that way.

My Fogger V5 arrived today! and here is my opinion.... Ordered from 123 vapes off fleabay thursday night received sat and opened it sat night. Not bad..

First off let me say its been a long night messing with it and its late so excuse my post if it's a little sloppy.

The box that it came in has the v3 packaging look but same type of box as the 4.1 it even had instuctions lol. Came with replacement o-rings for everything and also extra positive block and positive post insulators which is nice.

Just an FYI, IMO, the Foggers v4 is for lung hitters. I am enjoying it ok... it produces a good vape at .9. That's 26G at 2 mm at 9 wraps (I think). It really requires a lung draw to get a solid vape. You will get a solid vape once you master the wicking.

With the Fogger v4 less wick is more. The gravity draw through the channels is very particular.

Overall I enjoy the device but performs best with lung draw capers.

The machining is actually very nice and all the threads are smooth and clean. One Big plus for me was the deck was not coated with pvd plating which always makes me feel better. It also came very clean without machine oil everywhere.

I was told by a yi loong rep the air holes would be 2.4mm but thats not the case. They are 1.6 give or take .1
IMG_1285.jpg

The delrin isulator that was stated to be for the afc ring is more like a rubber plug that has a hole drilled shallow and shoved in. Not what i expected but does work and holds the ring in place very well.

Continued......sorry keeps saying i can only upload 5 pics at a time.

Scrubbed down and ready to build. Few more pieces as you can see.
IMG_1287.jpgIMG_1288.jpg

So on to the spring post this is where things got interesting

I built it with 28g 7 wrap around 3mm and everything was good. Well not really!!!!!!
IMG_1290.jpg

After i built it and snipped the leads I threw it on the mod and fired it up not too bad but ive built this type of setup and it wasnt right. So i threw it on the ohm meter and sure enough it was reading 1.0-4.6. I knew something was up and usually it does that crap when the leads arent tight enough. I knew the biggest fault of the v5 was going to be those stupid spring posts. After 45 miniutes and alot of frustration trying to figure where to go from there hoping not to have to break out the tap and die set I took the coils off and started messing with sping post.

Ahhhhh they unscrew!!!!!! Then i remembered in that extra bag of goodies yi loong sent with the fogger there were two screws and it clicked in my head that those have to be for the post and yesss siiiir they were. I put the screws in and built some new coils with 28g 7 wrap but this time around 2mm which came out to .5ohm little low but i knew i was home free.

Ok the chimney and deck are as far as I can tell the same as the 4.1 so I wicked it as such. Filled it with juice and took a well deserved vape 3hrs later lol.
IMG_1295.jpgIMG_1297.jpg

Pros....
Top fill is awesome
Nice machining better than my 4.3 and 4.1
came with lots of spare parts
airflow control ring is a definite improvement
Post holes are great once I used the supplied screws instead of the stupid spring posts.
Of course it can chuck some vapor:vapor:

Cons....
Spring post are junk and wasted my time should have known better but had to try. (Use provided screws)
airflow seems better than 4.1 not as good as 4.3

Overall.....
I think the v5 overall is better than I expected and love the new improvements yi loong made over the v4's. Similar vaping experience to the 4.1 with a few upgrades and little better airflow although I do like it much better than the 4.1. Im a big fan of the 4.3 and wish I could combine the v5 and v3. With the v5 built at .5 it does blow some awesome clouds (smooth tooo) Im vaping 12mg 100%vg starpuffs VVV LOVE IT.

Hope you enjoyed my review of the V5. Time to take a vape and crash.

SO, the V5 includes a set of drilled posts as well as the spring posts? Why they just didn't go with drilled posts beats the heck out of me, they could have saved money by leaving off the spring posts.

The spring posts are seperate from the actual posts and unscrew and yi loong supplied screws that screw right in. I guess they thought spring post were a good idea but atleast they left people the option. +1 for yi loong on that one.

Finally solved the leaking issue with my Fogger 4.0, I don't know why it happened but the glass tank section sat on 2 o-rings on one side while on the other there were no o-rings. After I placed the o-rings one on each side the leaking has issue has gone.

So here's a quick note: Fogger from Fasttech does come with two o-rings placed on one (!) side. You gotta take one o-ring and place it on the opposite side.

Now I have no issues with my Fogger whatsoever. Love this thing!
