How many of you have chosen to go strictly Woodvil and give up your metals?

I've found since I got my Woodvils, my metals go un-used. I can't help but think they might be better served being with someone who will actually use them. I've even PM'd Karen and Mia about it.

I can't put the woods down - I thought I'd keep my last two metals "just because". But I'm not even using them any more......

It's hard to decide too, because I get so emotionally attached to these REO's.

I'm not trying to be sexist but it's easier for men to keep metals because of the things we do in real life. Work on cars, four wheeling, hiking, and so many other things. Think if you went to a rattle snake roundup in Texas and bent over to pick up a snake and a Woodvil slips out of you pocket and gets dented on a rock. Time to sing the blues for sure. With a metal just another beauty mark and you go about your day. Just my thoughts on this.

Should I PM you my address, or just drive down to GA?

Well I have one of each right now & while I do LOVE my woodville I see it more as a device for use in the house, more as a luxury item. I have taken it places with me & as far as showing off I like it better. But I feel better about taking the metal one around with me for the simple fact that I'm not gentle with my purse and that's where I carry it. With kids I don't have the energy to be worrying about my stuff when I'm out messing around with them. So I love the security of the metal one.

lol im all googlie-eyed over the woodvils, and was strongly considering nabbing one off the classies to make it my second Reo.......but I honestly believe it would get destroyed with my lifestyle. Im pretty sure ill be sticking with the metals, and envy everyone who gets a woodvil.

I don't think thats possible ....... Its hard to believe until you use one how indestructible the wood REOs can be.

I'm all wood and have been for a long time now. They have been dropped - kicked - and out in snow and rain ......
Everyone of my woodvils looks better than a metal one would look after the same usage.

I love both, but will admit I've been using my Wood REOs the most since the sale. But...the metals are more "purse-friendly." I don't like turning the Woodvils off and on when I'm out and about, and if I don't, the side-button is easier to accidentally get pushed in my purse. There's a place in my life for both. And I, too, get VERY emotionally attached to all my REOs. They have taken over most of my house. Between the REOs, the DIY juice area, and the coil-building area, I've been squeezed (squonked????) out of my house! I have a tiny little place in the living room in my recliner in front of my TV that's mine. There's just enough room on the side table for a couple of REOs and a cup of coffee, and just enough room on my lap for my iPad. Life is good.

I am with you on that Jan! A whole bedroom where REO stuff dominates! My media cabinet in the livingroom holds the REO not currently in use. Two shelves with REO's and one with my receiver and cd player. Even my kitchen has my chargers and power strip always ready.

My loveseat is not only mine. I share it with at least 3 wood REO's when I sit to watch tv.

Not complaining one single bit. In fact I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm looking to be picking up my 1st REO Grand here soon (hopefully) once the new kit is out.

I'm slowly ( or not so slowly- no half measures! Big bites for me!) converting my collection to all wood. Sold one grand to pick up a woodvil, bought two of them, trading one for another woodvil ( different wood) and now I'm trading my last grand. I'll have 3 woods ( four when my Dibi returns) which leaves let's see...
2 spots open. A coco bolo 18490 and my second Dibi run. If I can't pick up the coco before the next run i guess il be getting a mech coco lol

I love the woods too. But a man has gotta have some metals for times when it is just a given that wood would get marred or subject to contaminants unless he plumb foolish or has more wood mods than sense?

I would think the same would apply to all but the hoyty toytiest of women ? :)

Tim is a testament to the durability of woodvils but if I damaged mine I'd freak.
