I have turned down very high paying jobs and even told a few bosses to kiss my lilly White ... because it would take time away from my family. After all Brother they are why I am who I am, my reason to get out of bed, and my reason to stay here living as long as I can. No one has your back like Family. I would gladly give my life for them even if it was only to have them live one more second.
I have gotten good things from vaping and I'm so happy to share all I have learned. If it helps just one person get there life back its time well spent trying.

You're welcome. I speak as I find. I appreciate that, and. whilst I am a newbie, I firmly believe ECF is all the richer for having you as a member. I totally agree with you. I have two step kids with my partner, and I would do anything for her and the kids. I would kill or be killed to protect them. Nothing can mean more than family. Nothing can be more important. Family really are everything.

As you know, I haven't been vaping long, but I too have gotten good things from it already, and more than that I really enjoy it - more than I ever enjoyed analogs.

Yeah it really is. Life is priceless. Time is free. Free time to save a priceless life - it's a no brainer!

Inspiration to me, Joe, as well. Thanks for telling your story this way.

Not a nicotine addict here (i never smoked hard as i'm asthmatic), but addicted to the throat hit and addicted to have something in my mouth (must be oral fixation.. ). So i'm seeking for the throat hit, while vaping a 80%vg,~10%pg(flavor),10%water/vodka, 0nicotine base. The lung hits you've described help a lot with this. I've learned to vape that way yesterday. good luck, keep on it, vape on!

Thanks Andria. Appreciate your info, advise, and support. Every day I come across some new ideas, hints, tips to make everything work better for me. Gotta get used to the time it takes for maintenance, but it's all good. I'm retired so it's not like I can't find the time. At this point every day is better than the last and I really look forward to being able to officially say I'm an ex smoker. After all these years, I'm ok with that being another week or two, if need be. No point in driving myself nuts about it but I'm confident it will happen.

That's just how I was; I didn't want to get all frazzled about it, if it worked, GREAT! If it let me cut down, GREAT! If all it did was let me stay indoors on freezing winter nights, well that was exactly why Ii started with them in the first place! The quitting was kind of a "oh my stars, I think I've found the way," kind of thing, a real surprise!

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I'll be 53, and I'll also be 12 weeks smoke-free, and could not be happier about it. First that I've managed to live this long, considering the extreme stupidity of my youth, and that I have not only not smoked a cigarette for 12 weeks, I haven't even wanted one!

Wonders never cease.

Now for the Kayfun Mini I bought the clone by Tobeco from ecigity (think I spelled the rite) Got it super fast, the unit is pretty nice quality all threads good, Looks good, and came with extras Wire, wick, screws, orings I built a micro 1.2 ohm coil, cotton wicked and filled it up. It gurgled pretty good at first. I cleared that by holding the fire button and blowing into the vent hole. turned my Mod up another watt now at 12W and vaped it first few hits were so so, then as the coil broke in and the cotton got nice and saturated the flavor came alive. I'm vaping a berry mint flavor, Very light mint, raspberry, blackberry, I bought this juice a couple weeks ago and liked the taste in spite of not being able to taste any of the berry, the mint was delicate and very smooth so I kept it. I have been vaping it in a 30S and decided to give it a shot in the Mini KF. WOW nice I can now pick up the berry flavors. I added a touch of sweetener to it because it was a bit dry in the Kayfun mini and it really makes for a pleasant vape. I have to say I like the Mini a lot, it vapes very nicely. Airflow is adjustable so I have it opened up pretty far. Vapor on par with the big Kayfun. Its about a 1/2 taller then the big KFL, but its diameter is smaller, maybe half the size. It would look good on an eGo. I vaped it most of the time at work today and its Good on juice didn't gurgle or flood once and so far not a drop leaking.

Sounds great! Think I'll have to get one of those, along with another full-sized clone (yes Tobeco's rock!), when we get the refund if those IRS trolls would ever process the stupid thing. Also I think I'm going to order a couple more Mini PT II tanks; that place I ordered from in HK has them for $6.93, and now that I know how to do the coils and the organic cotton wicks, they're not bad at all, and their small size plus glass makes them good for the different fruit flavors I'm starting to try out. The apricot is really nice; think I may try blueberry next. Always been crazy about them, and their flavor goes nicely with the tea I drink, the Twining's English Breakfast. Also thought about trying the ruby-red grapefruit from High Desert Vapes while they're running the 40%-off sale.

I think I'll pass on the nichrome; heard things about potential toxicity, maybe nausea, from using that, and nausea is one thing I absolutely cannot handle -- trying out those high-nic juices at first almost cured me of e-cigs before I even got started. But thx! I've got nearly 150 ft of wire here, from 28 to 32 gauge, though I seem to be using the 30ga the most, mainly for the kayfun.

Andria First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY !! And congratz on 12 weeks analog free. I have around 80 flavors for DIY now apricot being one of them and a long time favorite fruit. Will for sure be making some apricot juice Got some brandy flavor as well for a nice apricot brandy mix. Maybe I'll even fire the old still up and make a real batch SHHHHHHHHHH.
Now for those blueberries I have never like them until I quit smoking, See I take the little lady out to breakfast every Sunday morning. I usually get a side of crepes usually strawberry and banana. I like fruit with my breakfast. Anyhow they only had blueberry, I was like HMM ok maybe just a little bit, got the order and ate one of those little berries and fell in love. Ever since I now have the blueberry crepe. Your rite also they are awesome with tea, and not to shabby with a nice mild coffee. My favorite vape rite now is one I had a local shop make for me about a month ago. Its a blueberry waffle with butter and maple syrup and is HEAVENLY good. The best part is we named it EPIC and its selling like mad, I better start getting a cut or at least a free bottle here and there soon lol Those flavors were the first on my list for DIY, have yet to make any as I still have quite a bit left over from the shop. I wish you could try this out and I'm happy to send you some 0 Nicotine, or I can add what ever your using to it, or on the side so you can add it. I got it all at 0 nic so I can add my own as I drop my nic lvl. I make up the mix in 3ml bottles. I get all my juice at 60VG/40PG, But my home DIY stuff I have made is 80VG/20PG because I can add flavor as I want. If you want to try it at a different mix let me know I'll stop in my shop and grab you a sample.

Lots of inspiring stories on this thread! Tells me I'm in the right place. I've made it down to roughly 5 to 10 smokes a day. I work 12 hour shifts and can go the whole time without wanting or needing a smoke, I just vape here or there as needed. But I find when I come home, the cravings kick in. Also to throw it out there, I usually have between 1 to 3 tall boys ( 2 to 6 beers) when I get home. I know the alcohol makes me crave more, but on my days off, without having drank, I still have the same problem. At work, I have freedom to take breaks whenever I want, as long as I want. Any advice on why its only when on home that I crave? Any tips on combating it? Also, when home, I vape like a mad man. Sometimes taking 2 to 3 hundred hits off my protank II Kamry 200+ build.

I've been smoking for over 40 years...always Newports...but never got past half pack a day so I guess it's why it was so easy for me to give up the Newports for cig-a-likes and be satisfied. Only now, I vape more than I ever smoked because I can sneak a few puffs in the ladies room here at work.

Could not stand the taste of menthol until I started vaping but I love it now. I know of of a few people who went back to ... .. smokes because the tobacco flavours are all awful (and I've tried a few).

I have several flavors I work through but one is my favorite. I've not seen any vapors tongue yet but I'll keep the posts in mind if I do notice it. I smoked for 30 years, cut down to 8-10 a day, then went to vaping. I did both for three days, then dropped the cigs. Now I vape only and my nic level is below 9 on all flavors. I agree, it's all about the taste!

I think that's true; if I had not found this Virginia flavor that's so similar to the taste of the cigarettes I smoked, I doubt I could have done it -- I'm very attached to that taste! But my very first taste of this juice, I knew my ticket had finally arrived! I quit about 2-3 wks after that, and really haven't wanted a cigarette since. And I wonder if maybe this is why so many people switch flavors all the time during the day, they just haven't found *the one* that really satisfies. I'm starting to try out other flavors, and that's enjoyable to a certain extent, but it's just a novelty, an entertainment -- not my real substitute for cigarettes, as the Virginia is.

It went well once I found vaping, just spent a lot of money on stuff that didn't work, wish I had that cash back. Amazingly other then the heart issues, I am physically strong and have fairly good endurance. I stay active hunting, fishing I used to run every morning that's something I started in the Marine corp. after the heart attack last year I no longer do that. The wife and I do walk quite a bit usually in the evening. At 48 I'm in much better shape then most of the 30 year olds I know. I'm just glad I finally found something that works

I used the eRoll at first, and it helped me a great deal! I actually quit while using that; I didn't use the iTaste I bought until the actual 1st day smoke-free, because I had to get a bottom-coil clearo for it, those iClear16s that came with it just suck, IMHO. But once I tried the iTaste with a real tank... after using the eRoll for a month... my eyes got wide and I hollered THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT! Had a similar experience recently when I upped my game to the Kayfun.
