Just got my Ego today. Ok.. what can i say... dammit... It hits the spot right on!

I have been vaping a month or so, getting impressed every damn time i change a PV.

started off with a regular 510. The feel was there but heck i though i would need more so i got a LR which fried one of my regular battery. < dumb move but that lead me to making a Nicostick with the battery connector. then i was freakin impressed just by using a Real 3.7v with a regular atty but doesnt feel good with an LR to me... burns off too fast and hits the burnt taste ever so often in just a few drags (Dripping). That lead me to put the LR to rest for awhile.

Then last week i decided i needed something which is pretty much for the "outdoor friendly" factor, so i went ahead and ordered an Ego because i read about how good it was here and there.

And WOW, the ego not only vapes well on a regular atty, when i plug in my LR. it went through the roof! i think i have finally found my divine sweet spot! all my juices that i DIYed seemed mediocre so far, now it tastes like a champ. and i meant all of my juices that i DIYed!!

So im giving away my nicostick to my colleague that is interested in vaping but is still reserved about it. if he really gets into this, an ego is what i will get him for a welcome gift ;)

However, i will be recieving some voltage regulators tomorrow, so i will definitely give a 5V box mod a try. But i believe it wont leave my house cos of its size and my perfect vape on the ego.

Glad it's working out for you, but please realize everyone is different.

I don't like 510 atties (even on an eGo - yes, I've tried it, I've even tried an eGo Mega atty) as much as my Kr8 cartos. I also don't like LR's, or 5v.

So, I obviously have a totally different set of needs from you.

The approach I take it making recommendations based on what the person asking the questions wants out of a PV. I can't just give them what works for me, and automatically assume it will work for them. If that were the case, everyone would vape 18mg and love the Kr8 and cartos and never go much over 3.7v. But that's not the case.

We all have different needs.

Hehe, yea i agree on the different needs and Preference.

Was too hyped on this and i wrote that. haha.. personally i sort of started from what i think was the wrong end. That is why i posted that as more or less giving the soon to be vapers a heads up. Well by all means go ahead and order what you think will be best for you. I wrote up an experience i had and i though i would share.

I guess the topic title was too suggestive. :)

I think that's pretty common. Some people do stick with the stock cig-like batteries (like me - but the Kr8 batt life is pretty good for it's size I suppose), but many wind up moving up pretty quickly.

But the thing is, that you're not replacing smoking anymore. You're enjoying vaping.

When you first start, you're replacing smoking. And for most of us, the form factor is just as important as vapor production or throat hit.

As you come to enjoy vaping more, and replace smoking less, you might seek a bigger and better vaping experience. But now it's become a whole different thing.

It may be an expensive stepping stone to start with stock models and find you need to move up, but for most of us, it's a somewhat necessary step.
