This started out with Greensmoke as a healthier alternative to smoking. Well, I liked it better than smoking, but returned the kit for bigger and better things.

On to an eGo, and Riva, love 'em. I have an E Power 14650 and 18650, a madvapes VV boxmod, 3.7v amd 5v foxyboxmods on the way. Passthroughs: I have 2-5v PT's, 2 eGo VV PT's, and 3 Ego PT's.

The only thing I need now is a top of the line VV mod, and I'm not gonna pay for it. I've spent enough moolah. What started out as an alternative to smoking has become a borderline obsession... I really like the look of that Buzz Pro Woody. I can almost feel it in my hand.

You're thinking of Xmas already!!!

Well since you are, a VV is a pretty good thing to have on the wish list. :)

Technically, what are the main differences between a Provari and a Buzz Pro. I know the prices, I know they look different. What else?

The Buzz Pro is a little easier to use in terms of just being able to dial in your voltage. It lacks an LED display though so without using a multimeter or mini voltage display you get an approximation of what voltage you're at (the wheel is demarcated by coloured notches that indicate specific voltage points though, so it's easier to tell). The ProVari has a few extra features, like being able to tell you the exact resistance of the atty or carto you currently have attached, current voltage of the battery, progressive low battery warnings, and self-monitoring with error codes in the event of the failure of an atty, carto, or internal component. If I remember correctly the Buzz Pro maxes out at I think 5.5 volts? The ProVari does up to 6. (Relatively minor if I'm not mistaken on this point.) I don't know what the Buzz's over-limit cutoff is, but the ProVari is I think 2A/10W. I may have left a thing or two out, but other than that though I think they're pretty similar.

So, the Provari has more bells and whistles, functionally. But the Buzz Pro Woody is sooo pretty. It's hard for a girl to decide, fortunately, I don't have to choose quickly.

Yeah, that's mostly what it amounts to: Bells and whistles. They're not what I'd call essential features -- they're nice, especially for gadget geeks like me who live for the shiny -- but if you can live without them then you're not really missing out on a whole lot.

I'd go with the buzz pro. Doesn't use a booster circuit and I like the battery configuration better, longer battery life and should be able to handle DC better if that's your thing. I already have a screw on meter for checking voltage and I don't need all the other features and it cost less.

Both are great choices depending on what your needs are but Christmas is a long way off. There may be many other choices by then. If your getting one now then compare them now, otherwise wait till at least after Thanksgiving.

Amp limit is actually 2.5 Mindfield (sir or Ms.?) on the Provari, you can push it a little above that, but after 2.7 it's a no go. Buzz pro says it's max output is 15w, so guessing it's a 3amp limit, but could be wrong.

That would be Mister. Don't let my pretty mug fool you. 2.5 amps? Better than I thought. That should theoretically be able to push a 1.6ohm DC up around 4.5v. Guess I'll find out when I get it though. Part of the fun will be experimenting. :)

Well, I may just have to get one soon. That beautiful wood veneer is the shnitz!! The exceptional beauty in craftsmanship and quality of this device has totally captured me.

Have you seen the GLV's that mistinthe woods has done? Take a lookie here, gorgeous! These are the veneers I?ve done

I have been fascinated by the bottom feeder mods in these gorgeous wood designs, but I didn't want a bottom feeder. When I saw this, I kinda knew it was what I wanted! Had to ask here first, though.

I wish notcigs would run a contest so I could win one! LOL
