Hi!
**See the very end for the quitting analogs part of the review.
Got my 510 from the super-mega-awesome Chris (no affiliation) at Cigtechs Monday afternoon. Knew I would be sticking with this, so Monday evening I ordered juice from Vermont Vapors and Johnson Creek. I'm a made in the USA dork when I can be.
Got Original and Tenessee Cured from Johnson Creek. Only opened the Tennessee Cured thus far. 18 ml strength.
Packaging is impressive. Glass bottle, safety sealed, each bottle came with a glass eye dropper top and a small (3/5 maybe) ml travel bottle for topping off.
I'm gunna do this like I would do tasting notes for Whiskey
Tested by dripping into my 510 after a *thorough* cleaning/dry burn and a fresh battery.
Nose -- STRONG notes of Vanilla, Hazelnut and Coffee with an undercurrent of hickory smoke. Lovely nose, doesn't smell "artificial".
Palate -- Vanilla is here, with sweet wood smoke and rich coffee (I'm going to call this latte, for lack of a better descriptor). An undercurrent of sweet leather, sort of like you sometimes get with south african wines. A *HINT* of ash on the finish/exhale. Medium throat hit compared to the liquid I have from Cigtechs, but satisfying enough. The overall impression is quite rich and relatively subtle. Doesn't clobber you with obviously artificial flavor.
Vapor -- Lots of vapor, more than the liquid from Cigtechs, it is light though, not as heavy as the vapor from the medium Cigtechs liquid.
** That "ash" note gives me the impression, taste wise, of an analog much more than the tobacco, RY4 or Vanilla I have from Cigtechs. At first it was off putting after a couple of days without the taste, but it is growing on me, and I think adds to the overall "satisfaction".
I like it lots
