So do I.
Me too ZenDuane had a great Idea, and I had the inside track to get the parts... I love when a plan comes together.
Yeah, I have a little routine I do now... when I get into the office, ProVari upgrades happen first before anything else. I allow NO OTHER employee to even open the packages, and I am the only person that does the upgrades. I love seeing them, and working on them. The crusty, well loved ones are my favorites, and I'm being serious... I have seen these things with dents and scratches and they all just freaking work. They handle more abuse than anything, and having a beat-up ProVari is almost a badge of honor. They really do remind me of a worn-in pair of jeans, or those favorite, form fitting shoes you can't bare to toss, because they just feel right.
Miss it for sure! And my gmz doesn't like going to work with me! Wore that black right off, I did! And I think it looks better than the day I got it! Looking forward to having my beater back!!
You won't be the first! I did that exact thing on Monday to a Dragon and it sold in about 15 minutes when I put it on display!
Beautiful Zen~.
Here are a couple "restyled" minis... Brand new stock, with custom finishes and P3 connectors.

Thanks, I appreciate that... the 2.5 "restyled" minis are not for the bargain hunters of the world, it's a pretty time consuming job to do the finish and the photos just don't do them justice. The colored sections are ZenKote™ and the Stainless sections have a machined finish... it's a pretty cool contrast between highly polished ZenKote™ details and the subtle softness of the machined stainless. And they are not a fingerprint magnet like the full ZenKote™ or polished versions.
They DO look like the belong in a jewelry store, in my opinion.
Those ARE gorgeous, Zen, and are true collector pieces. Wow, impressive to say the least!
Somebody said to me today: "WHoooooa bruh, that work is awesome, it's to bad you did all that work on an obsolete mod... it's sick, but nobody will ever buy it... can you do that to my SX?"
And of course my answer was a firm, yet cheerful... "nope"
Too bad.
I bet his sx could use some work on its finish.
I know mine could.
