A couple months ago I posted about how disappointed I was with the Vivi Nova cracking at the bottom near the threads of the plastic tank. The problem was mostly likely caused by a couple different things such as using cinnamon juice and the crappy plastic threads located inside the tank itself. The juice would easily leak out of the bottom and of course the vape hits were very airy.
After I switched to a sweet new Phiniac tank and some standard boge cartomizers, I was ready to throw my Vivi Nova in to the Snake River, but for some reason I just wrapped it up and kept it in my drawer.
Just last week I went to my local vape shop here in Boise and noticed they started selling aluminum tanks for the Vivi Nova. They were only a couple bucks and came with some new O-rings so I bought one.
I will say I'm very glad I didn't throw away my Vivi Nova. After switching to one of these new tanks and putting some new O-rings on there it has made a world of difference. The seal is much tighter and I'm much more confident in the threads. The vape hits are smoother than ever and it's quite nice having a secondary tank filled with a different juice when I get bored with what's in my Phiniac.
If there's one thing I'm learning about vaping it's that having a plethora of vaping options is what makes all this worthwhile to me. We all get tired of the same juice if vaped too often. For me, even using the same method of vaping for too long can psychologically alter the way it it tastes. Kind of like when you smoke a real cigarette after a big meal, it is very satisfying. But if you chain smoke 5 cigarettes, the taste isn't that great and it's less satisfying. Changing it up every once and a while with a new tank, carto, clearo, atty, or whatever, really helps.
The only disadvantage to having an aluminum tank is that you can't see exactly how much juice you put in there. Overall, it's a decent option for those who were let down by the default plastic tank that comes with the Vivi Nova. It's a cheap fix and well worth it.
