Question for those that have children. Well, even those that don't can chime in really. I have three children... an 8 year old and twin 3 year olds. I was able to just cold turkey stop analogs once I found out I was pregnant both times. I always started smoking again about a year after giving birth each time. I have never smoked in the house. I never smoked around the kids period. After each analog I would wash my hands/arms to get rid of the smell and would change my shirt. Yes, very OCD about it all. I hated the smell of analogs and didn't want my children to smell of them.

Now, using my PV I still feel 'wrong' using it inside. I still have the natural instinct to go outside... so that is what I have been doing up until now. I was wondering, given the fact that we don't know 100% about long term effects, do any of you use your PV around children?? Do you think it is fine for me to vape in the family room at night when they are in their rooms or should I stick to going outside? I know this may sound insane to some but it took my husband and I sooooo long to get the family we always wanted and I would die if I did something to harm my kiddos. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

My kids are grown, but I do vape around them. You may say, not the same thing but to me they are still my kids and I never smoked in the house because of them.
One is a Physical Therapist and she is a health nut and she has no grips about being around the vapor, but went to great lengths to avoid cigarette smoke.

Still, I wouldn't blow vapor right in their face, but in another room should be fine.

If it feels wrong to you to vape inside of your home then do go outside. This is a decision and choice that only you can decide for yourself. I personally would not have any reservations about vaping in my home if my kids were still living at home, but that is just my own personal feelings about it. The choice must be yours and you will make the one that is right for you and your family. Just do what your own heart and mind tells you is right for you.

I vape around but not AT them same way I used to smoke - although I smoked outside but the PV I use inside (my kids are over 12).
They smell my coffee so I really dont think smelling vapor is much different - caffiene and nicotine are equally 'bad' (or good depending on your perspective). There's no tar or carcinogens in the exhale (or indeed on the inhale) and they know that PV are for old smokers who want to stop smoking but need the nic (or unti they no longer need the nic).
My cleaning products and the fumes they give off are really more dangerous to them than my PV and my cleaning products are kept out of reach.

Totally the same. They are your children no matter how old they are.

Very good point about the cleaning products. I would have never thought of it that way.

I agree, if you're this concerned about it now keep doing what your doing. If your kid/s get a cold after you've vaped around them you're going to blame yourself, if they bump their knee you're going to blame yourself, etc etc. Take that aspect out of the equation if it makes you feel better.

Yep... I am very good at blaming myself for every stinkin' thing that happens to them.

Thank you all for responding. I guess I will just continue to go outside when they are awake and maybe at night when the day is winding down and I want to watch a little TV before bed I will vape a little in the family room (with all doors closed and every window open)... lol... just messing. Seriously, thanks for sharing you opinions. :)

those are my feelings exactly. I am vaping right now,in the house, but the kids are in bed. The great thing about vaping though is if I need a vape break I can grab a PV and go where they don't see me and vape

I know how you feel. I have 2 six year olds and I didn't want them to see me smoke and I don't want them to see me vape as children tend to want to imitate adults. I do enjoy the freedom vaping allows me. I do vape in the house now and I never smoked in the house, I just don't do it in front of them.
