Like me, apparently, try this trick. This isn't a knock against PA or any other companies, it's simply because I have only what I can describe as an allergic reaction to heavy perfume smells, even when someone walks by me wearing it.

Add about 1ML of VG or PG in an empty juice bottle and heat it for about 5-7 seconds in the microwave or let it sit in some very hot water for a few minutes and then add your flavor concentrates to that, mix it up and let it sit uncovered overnight. Mix in the rest of your stuff (more VG, nic, whatever) shake it up and go.

I bought a bunch of PA flavors and could not tolerate most of them, even after letting them "steep" in my mixed bottles for a couple weeks. I just can't tolerate it. It makes me nauseous and makes my head throb. The problem is, when I mix my juices, 1 or 2 drops is all I can add in order to be able to tolerate the smell but then I can't taste it. If I add more to boost the actual taste when vaping, I get very ill from the fumes. :?: Doing the above seemed to solve my issues immediately, taking almost all strong fumes away, at least enough so where I can vape it and not get ill from the smell and still get a nice flavor. I've got some mix that I did this with and I'm going to let it sit now for another week and see if it gets even better. :)

I don't understand why only some of her flavors are this way and others are fantastic right out of the bottle, like blueberry, mountain dew, cappuccino and green apple. I could tape those to my nostril and breath them all day just as they are. Weird.

The way I got around the sickening sweetness that I encountered with Capella flavors was to put 2 drops of flavor into 5ml (or more, depending on what I'm mixing) of PGA, shake it and let it sit overnight, uncovered, then add around 1/2ml of that mix to my 10ml juice bottle. Capella flavors are just really, really strong, I guess but I don't get any perfume with them. Less is definitely more, I discovered.

I hope this may help. I bought so many flavors in my excitement and then was really, really bummed when I couldn't use them.

Good tip - thanks!

Capella flavors? I'm also trying to figure out what that smell/taste is. Flowery/perfumey? Maybe that's it. Could the taste you refer to also seem like a sweet buttery taste? I've been trying to identify what that base flavor is so I can avoid purchasing from the suppliers that use it. Since I don't notice that with FSUSA I am assuming that the flavor taste you mention is not flavourart but still trying to narrow it down.

Oh, sorry, I should clarify. The top portion of my post was for The Perfumer's Apprentice flavors. I can't quite put my finger on Capella flavors other than using the term sickly sweet. I'm not sure if you can smell sweet, exactly but that's all I can think of how to describe it. I don't get buttery at all. That would almost help, I think. I haven't bought any other flavor concentrates from anyone else yet but should be getting an order today from another but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I think that's been my issue with the PA flavor's.. too perfume-y. Just can't hack them for the most part except for a few flavors.
My FA tobacco's are really pungent as well but don't bother me.
The Desert Ship can be smelled when I open the cabinet even though it's in a box and sealed in a ziplock baggy lmao
It's not bad like the PA but is super strong smelling.

I've seen the same thing with other flavorings. (Granted I do not have the OP's perfume sensitivity)

I found that Anise from Loranns was better if the mix was allowed to sit, uncovered, before vaping.

There is something in the suggestion for everyone who is not getting good results to try.

(I once tried it for a FA tobacco mix that wasn't working for me, but it didn't help. Yet, it was worth trying..)

I usually put my mixes in a hot water bath as soon as they are mixed. If it is one that I am going to leave open for awhile, it is right after that bath. So the effect should be much the same.
