I didn't like the way I reacted to straight PG either so now do a 70VG/30PG mix.

I don't know why VG from different manufacturers taste different when all they are is 100% VG, but they do. The only VG I ever purchase is if it says something about being a natural sweetener on it.

I really like the Heritage Products brand (If I remember right, I got it at Sprouts grocery. Has almost a vanilla taste to it. My other bottle is Starwest Botanicals (based in California) and I found it at an Herbalist (BTW, they also had GREAT glass bottles with glass drippers). I've never noticed a soapy taste that others talk about.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'd been having a lot of issues with the burnt atomizer taste and finally got that resolved. Today my throat is hardly bothering me at all and I've been vaping much more today since it doesn't taste burnt. I'm wondering if the burnt taste wasn't actually burning/irritating my throat. I was trying to not inhale when it was acting up but one time you'd get a decent puff, then you'd try it again and whoa....burnt and nasty....

Thats exactly what I have experienced - that burning smell / taste that catches the back of my throat and irritates my sinuses. After this has happened it takes me a few days to be able to taste / smell eliquids properly.

How did you sort this issue? I always try and keep my carts topped off but on Saturday night I was out bevvying and I smoked a cart dry - got the burnt smell / taste and have seriously irritated my throat and sinuses :(

Kind of embarrassing actually...Seems I didn't have the cart pushed in entirely. It was about a 16th of an inch out and I guess that was far enough for the atomizer to keep getting dry. I tried swapping out an atomizer this morning and it had a nasty taste no matter what I did. I've been having minor issues with the burnt taste again, just seems like I have to top off a LOT. Which I didn't have to do when I first resolved the issue with not having the cart in the whole way. I don't know what's up there. I do think the severely sore throat (and I mean RAW) was from the burnt taste...like you, I didn't have it at all once I wasn't getting the burnt taste.

I do notice when I get the burnt taste that the filling seems to have moved toward the mouth side of the cartridge, leaving about 1/4 inch open space between the filling and the end (battery) of the cartridge. Wonder if that could be the issue?
