Hi all! It's been a long time since I last posted. I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd post tonight. I just wanted to say I'm nicotine-free as of around June of last year, having lowered my nic over 7 years from 36 mg to 0, 1 mg at a time last year. I constantly forget to grab my mod from my car/others cars/anywhere lol nowadays lately it sits there for hours sometimes. I just wanted to post this as I was an absolutely hopeless 2+ pack a day chain smoker just 7-something years ago, I quit analogs w/ e-cig 6-6-2009.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the support I've gotten from you guys/gals on this website! Just wanted to post to say there is hope for (us) current and former heavy smokers out there that it is possible, I never thought this was possible 8 years ago.

P.S. I'm happily vaping 0 mg menthol from my (now freezing cold) mod I left in the car for 10 hours lol :)

Congrats! I'm still tethered to my mods, but it's because I want something tasty without having to eat junk food :w00t:

Thanks everyone! Believe me, it happens before you even realize it lol, I started with an Njoy e-cig, quickly moved on to 901(its antiquated now) and then bye bye analogs. I realize its not the same for everyone but it takes time, however how much time it takes hardly matters :)

That is awesome, congrats on the cut back and just vaping in general. I chain vape though, so I can't imagine going ten hours without it in my hand haha

It was basically a pacifier (for me) for the longest time lol believe me, but now the old mod lasts maybe a week or more, I just don't need it anymore its just a hobby now, also thanks for all the congrats!

The boat you're in is very similar to my boat.
I have been on zero nicotine for 15 months and forget to vape all the time.

If it weren't for alcohol I'd probably never even vape at all right now.
A bit more hassle then it's worth unless I am drinking.

But I DO intend for nicotine to be in my future again some day soon for the health benefits.

Right now, my work health insurance charges me $100/month if I use nicotine.
I'm not about to try and cheat my health insurance, so I stopped about 15 months ago.

But I'll be back!!

Nicotine, it's not just for addicts anymore.
(some of you will get that, but sadly, far too many will not)

Congrats, and a very well done! It's a funny state of affairs, in'nt? If we ever forgot our cigarettes somewhere, the terror that would overtake us until said pack was retrieved. Now, you can go hours without a vape and think nothing of it. Sometimes I think "y'know, one day I might not need any of these mods..." then shinyitis says otherwise lol.

This is one of the things that saddens me about vaping...how nicotine is cast into such a negative light, when there are far worse chemicals compared to nicotine in cigarettes. It's not nearly as addicting as once thought, and you (along with many others that have switched to 0mg) just proved it :)

Yup. I did this in 12 weeks. I cut the dose down methodically for 12 weeks. 0.0714mg reduction per day. Thats 10ml of e-liquid a day ( you have to make sure you don't compensate by vaping more liquid so I rationed it at 10ml). As for the dilution process... well, spread sheet, syringe, and a large jar of e-liquid ;)
