Good morning everyone. This is my firstpost. I want to thank ECF for all the useful information I'vegathered from this forum. I wish I new about this forum early on inmy vaping. I would have saved quite a bit of money if I had. Istarted vaping this past February (2011). Before vaping I smokedabout 3 packs of analog cigs a day. I'm currently down to about 3cigs a day and hope to completely stop but I do still get the urgeafter meals. I started analogs at a early age about 8 yrs old and haved smoked them all my life (yes I'm old I'm in my 60's).
I do enjoy vaping quit a bit and hopeto continue vaping for the foreseeable future and stop analogs completely.

Thanks again for all your help,
Mike

Congratulations! 3 cigs a day instead of 3 packs is a HUGE accomplishment!

Hey Mike. This is my first post here, too.

I switched to e-cigs in September. We have a lot in common. Both about the same age and both former heavy smokers. Funny thing with me, but after a few days of vaping I lost all interest in smoking. I have a pack of cigs in my freezer, so I get them if I want them. But I don't want them. I tried to quit many times over the last half century with a lot of misery, weight gain, and no success. When I got my ecigs I wasn't trying to quit. I just wanted to cut down.

I love my ecigs!:p

I also have a pack of cigs that I leave on my desk. There are 19 in there right now one missing from the day I completely lost taste for them. They are now stale and have nasty messages written on them. =)

Welcome to the forum. I had found this forum before but didn't register until recently. I'm about 2 months into using my personal vaper (PV). I don't know what strength juice you use but I started with an 18mg and found it wasn't strong enough and went up to a 36mg. I found that if I vape a 36 until around noon and then switch to an 18 or an 11 that seems to work for me.

i thinks it's awesome that you are down to 3 cigs a day. I still keep a pack and at times I have one in the morning. Lately I have been slacking off on that also. This past week out of the 7 days I think I've had that morning one maybe 3 or 4 times. Everyone goes at their own pace and I'm sure you stop them soon. Another thing that worked for me was that during the day when I had "THE URGE" I would take a slow, deep drag from my PV.

This is a great forum with oodles of information.

Welcome MikeA5! Wow, it looks as though you've already made quite a change! If you can give the forum a few more details of what your current "set up" is PV, juice etc. the fantastic group of people here can probaby help you to cut out those 3 "stinkies" you're currently smoking by fine tuning a bit.

I enjoy bottom feeders the most. I use the Rio Grand the most and that is the one that I take with me when going out for everyday chores and such... I also will bring out the Ali'i for special occasions such as weddings or party's. I have a couple tube mods and of them I use the ProVari quit a bit.
I enjoy FreedomSmokeUSA eliquids a lot. I do have some eliquids on order from Back Woods Brew and I'm looking foward to trying out them. Most of the vendors I've found thru this forum and I'm open for some other suggestions that members to recommend. I have tried several China juices, they are ok (favorite so far is DK-Tab) but I prefer USA eliquids.
I thank you guys for any help and for also responding to my 1st post. Thank you again
Mike

I typically vape 30mg and 24mg. I'm going to try staying with the 24mg. I'll see how that works out. I'll always have some 30mg in reserve just incase.

welcome to ECF Mike. Glad to hear you have cutdown soooooo much. Don't give up, those 3 a day will be zero in no time. what PV are you using?

Mostly the Rio Grand, but also Ali'i, Red Sky Mod and Provari.
Thank you for the support. I also feel much better vaping than smoking and the cats and dog are much happier to.

    in a cave, eh?
Congratulations on cutting down on the stinkies. If not for the health benefits then at least you're helping cut down on BT executive benefits.

You're off to a real good start with your particular PVs.

You might be interesting in swapping out a carto filled with a higher nic level for those 3 stinkies you still can't resist. But good luck anyway whichever way you go.
