Even if I'm not following someone, I can easily see what they're doing via advanced search.

You don't even have to do a forum search--I found that if you click on someone's avatar and then go to their 'messages' (actually you have to click on the number of messages), you'll see the list of that person's forum posts. Works just like our old 'see forum posts' feature, only posts are now called messages. And messages (private) are called conversations.

BTW, I just read his blog on E-cigs and the British election--very interesting.

Just a random thought, but.. it seems to me that those who would use it in its vulgar sense might not be quite old enough to hang here... Doesn't it seem a rather childish thing to say? Like toddlers' bathroom words with giggles.

ROFL... I know, I know.... but still, thinking of conversations where that word in its vulgar sense gets tossed around... makes me think of my son and his friends at around age 15-ish. I have hearing like a bat or something, so I put the smackdown on anything worse being said... but these mommy-ears heard a lot of vulgar scatological stuff that didn't warrant a mommy-fit -- usually a cough or throat-clearing got the point across that mommy-ears were ON.

In the forums I visit most often I did "Ignore Thread" to the stickies.

Already there. When you're in your Inbox, the search box works just for conversations.

We're in the process of looking at reducing the number of stickies. We'll also look at a way to make them stand out more.

Really? I had it work a few days ago --- but not today after I went to confirm it after MacTechVpr posted. Maybe it was being worked on then?

Tried again --- it will search the body of the conversation, but not the poster or the "title" ie, subject of the post.

I have to click to get the drop down for advanced searching names, in titles only ect

Thanks, Mrs. C. That is good for most searches ---- but not for Conversations, as far as I can tell.

I am glad we can search the Conversations when looking for content in one of our own conversations, though.

In the drop down you can specify a user or title. I tried several from my conversations with others and search found them.

Well, I can't. Well, I can search -- but the answers are all from posts in the forum.

This is while in the "inbox" or a specific conversation. Maybe it's a FF thing? Could be different with different browsers?

The only way I can search my conversations is from the original box -- and get no answers when I look for a known title or user name, that's not mentioned within a conversation. IMHO, being able to search the body of the messages is a nice feature that if available, I didn't know how to do before.

I'm glad to have that feature -- and, of course, would like more.

Be happy to receive a conversation on helping me see what I apparently am not --- don't want to take up more real estate here on this small issue.
