Oh oh! That's not a good sign.
Not really, I don't know the program that well either. I'm learning just like everyone else! :D

I didn't even know what you were talking about till I had to go and find out myself. Since it seems like there is only a limited amount of names in the box, it doesn't take long to scan the list. I think in order for me to utilize the feature, I would have to slow the heck down and make sure that the name I am looking for is NOT in the box before proceeding.

I can see how this would be an issue if you were quite a few boxes into the search

I was looking through my "followers" and went past the name I was looking for and couldn't back up a page. I have to close and start over. Is there a way to backup or are we stuck with this?

Thankfully mine are on one page :- ) ... including you, btw :) But just in following up on your post I again 'lost' 'people who follow you'. I had a post on that here:

... but then found it but can't find it again. Were they combined?? (asking a mod/admin).

I am sorry, but I am still a little confused about following and followers - how are they like friends? For example - I have picked up a follower, but when I went to their page it would not let me in because they have it restricted??? So, they are following me, but I cannot visit them? Do I have to in turn follow them and then they are like friends and then I can go to their page?

You have quite a few followers and takes up 6 boxes (yes, I peeked :p) so that could take some time for somebody that has a lot more. With the old system the pages were numbered so if you wanted to look up somebody with a username that started with a "T" you didn't have to scroll through the whole list. You could just pick a number near the end of the list. It was much easier but not really a big deal.

You now have 1 more follower. :D I'm curious to see if you get a notification when someone "friends" you or not.

I still don't understand how I can have "followers" and "following". If I have more "followers" than "following" does that mean somebody didn't accept my friendship request? Please say it's not so.
it could mean that. I have one person that I friended right before the changeover, and they either didn't see it or didn't accept (but I know they like me) lol But now it can just mean that they are following you, you don't have to approve it. If you notice you can follow them back if you want

Thanks Robin-oh one! There it is again  I went to profile page then "personal details" in the left column it only lists "people you follow" (well, people you ignore, threads, forums etc.) but not "people who follow you" - but that's fine :- )

That's weird because I see "followers" and "following" on your page.

Lol.... not really ;) We were looking in two different areas. I have the 'pages' of which you speak by following Robino's path.

Pretty sure if you click on your name at the top it will take you to 'personal details' and in the left column - 'people you follow' and it will list all on one page. Now.... the people I follow and people that follow me are the same - that may be different for you and others, and since that same page doesn't list 'people who follow you' then you'll have to do it your way :- )

You are on the 'personal details' page, not the 'profile' page, Kent. Different things.

Yeah, see my reply to you.... ;) Also, on friend requests that are not validated, they remained contacts for me. There was a point when I answered questions on Ask the Vets routinely, where I'd get a lot of requests from those I answered, and not accept them, since I had another 'definition' of "friends" plus another consideration on blogs. Although some requests were later validated as they became my 'friend'.

Oh, ok...I get it now. I've never clicked on "personal details" before. There I can see all my followers on one page which is much nicer than seeing 10 or so in a box and then clicking "More" to see the next page. Thank you both for that one. :D

Yep, buried under a boat load of alerts

I've disabled the Likes alerts... good lord!

I'm not exactly sure how that works....
