I know it's a speed issue, but the fact that "new posts" continues to only show new posts from the last couple of hours has really hindered my activity.

I used to log in and spend a couple of hours going through all the new posts/threads that happened since my last visit (which might have been 24 hours ago). Now, all I can see is the activity from the last 2 hours, which takes me about 15 minutes to go through, at which time I visit other forums.

I'm finding the same thing via 'watched threads' and 'watched forums' - just not surfing ecf like I used to. when those lists are 'done', I go elsewhere. I know I could change that but it's not the same view of things. Esp. the collapsed sub forums.

I was just about to bring this issue up again myself. On the old ecf, and after being away for a while, it was common for me to see anywhere from 12 -17, or 18 pages of posts. Now the most I see is 9 pages. I must be missing a lot of what's going on, and I don't think that's good.

I'm having trouble leaving Trader feedback for two threads where I was the buyer yet I didn't post in the thread. I receive this error when I attempt to leave feedback: "Invalid thread specified. You can leave feedback only for the starter of the thread or if you have started the thread.". The form contains this informational text: "For example http://www.example.com/threads/thread-title.1/. Needs to be valid thread URL started by you or by <member name> and the other party should have replied in that thread.". I am entering the correct thread URL (copied and pasted from another browser window) and I am choosing to be the Buyer.

I don't know if my never having posted in the thread that I'm trying to leave feedback for is what is causing the problem, but both threads have that in common. I did not have this problem with the old software - I had been able to leave feedback in threads in which I did not post when using the old forum software.

Unless something has been changed or fixed about this........that's the problem. I know it was the problem for others before

This is from earlier in this thread,

With a little help from sonic and Joker the issue is sorted out. For future reference you *MUST* post in a classie thread to be able to leave feedback. The system will not let you if it doesn't find a post.

My offer was by pm for part of the lot should the seller consider splitting, he eventually did, but he closed it before I could comment...

Your guess that not having posted would be a good one.

Not sure if this is my issue or not, but I seem to get really random alerts and mostly no alerts at all (unless I recently posted in the thread, but after that it just kinda drops off). I go to threads that have shown me no alerts (and I am "watching them"), but when I get to the thread it's been active. It sucks but I am finding it difficult to keep up with all that I was interested in.

One of the threads is still open (since it has additional unsold gear) so I was able to post and then leave feedback. I see that the thread URL in the Feedback form is a drop down and you can choose the URL (it was empty for me prior to my post).

Same here. I don't know why it is, but I find that seeing just a few new threads in my watched threads is rather depressing... I know I can click on see all threads, but somehow it's not the same. And even if I expand the view, the visual difference between the read and the unred is not as clear as it was in My Posts... I really, really liked the old way--I always navigated the forum via My Posts...

I always used "subscribed threads", so I'm doing fine with "watched threads" and "all watched threads" though it is not as clear which have been read and some other minor changes.

Search is bugging me. Unless one does a specific search (clicking more boxes and entering in more parameters) the general forum search comes up with lots of old posts, dates all jumbled up and I see no logical sequence. I searched key word from my own thread title (started since the change) and it came up on page 3 or 4. Most of the responses were from closed threads and earlier years.

I would think it could be changed to show most recent posts/theads first.

I agree--the default setting should be Most Recent, not Relevance, as it is now... I don't even know what it means? I always click on Most Recent when I do my searches.

That would certainly be helpful for super quick searches.

If I do go to the advanced section and put in a date (like January 1, 2015) the responses are very different than if I just click the most recent box......somehow they are sorted as more relevant and with the most recent first! (Yea) It seems like the more relevant search has more thread titles....but I haven't done a scientific test to be sure! :)

I have "clear cookies" unchecked and all my other login info for other sites are working as should. You're other suggestion might work but clear my cookies?

I cleared my cache and history and then restarted my PC because I was positive somebody would suggested this. ;) When it came back up I started ECF and I was still logged in. The true test will be tomorrow when I try to get on ECF.

If you don't want to clear all your cookies for some reason you can try just deleting the ones from ECF. Not sure which browser you're using, but in Firefox just go to Options and the Privacy tab and click on "show cookies". Here you can delete individual ones if you so choose. The steps should be similar in other browsers if you're not in FF

Also, if you use your browser's remember password feature then perhaps you need to update that entry. You can check if what's saved is correct and delete it if it's not (in Firefox it's in the Security tab in the Options menu)

Hope that helps
