might wanna check. I turned off a lot of alerts, but that is one that I left on. It's definitely on, but works sometimes, then doesn't work sometimes apparently
@AndriaD see if you get an alert for this one. I didn't click on your name when it auto popped up, so am trying that as an experiment. If you don't get an alert that could be why. My name would be easy enough to just type without clicking on the pop up that shows my name.
Yup--same here. I got tagged twice without notification. Just noticed the tags later on while reading the thread. Those tags are sketchy at best--they work sometimes, sometimes they don't.

Jup got that one. Did you click on the name pop up, or just totally type my name without clicking on the pop up? since you're on, I'll try it without clicking the pop up like I did andria, and see if you get it. @Katya
I started typing your name and then clicked on the pop up...
And I only got an alert that you quoted my post--not that you tagged me. Hmm...
I may be on to something then. It's possible that if a person doesn't click on the pop up with the name, that it doesn't send the alert. could explain why sometimes I get one, and sometimes I don't. Some of our names are easier just to type than to stop and click on the pop up
well so much for that.....I got that alert too on the tag. We better quit now before retired sends us to the sandbox, and it's no fun there anymore since I lost my favorite pail and shovel!!

used to be so easy to get people on the right track when they had questions and i never realized the link is absent now until somebody questioned me about the verification process and i had to scramble to find the relevant thread.
Naaa... we've seen multiple people get notified many times when multiple tags are in a post. Can't be that.

Another possibility, the pop up box only shows a limited amount of alerts. Have you actually opened the alerts page to see if more are showing up there?
For example, I had something like 23 alerts. I could only see x amount in the pop up window. I have open the page, where they are held, to see all of them listed.

i turned mine off because the tags meant for me don't get to me - i wonder what that 'tibs' would think if he/she ever signs back on to ecf after last being seen in 2011
