Yes!

Although I did get two alerts for this thread. One was a partial quote from Deb and one was for the whole quote from Tibs. So it didn't recognize that the partial was in the same quote as the quote from Tibs that actually was the same post that Deb had the partial from.

Confusing enough for ya?

uncle, when you type the name for the search, are you using the at symbol like you typed, or just typing their name? I just start typing their name and when the name pops in the box I click it, unless it's a simple one that I've already got typed or nearly typed

@Debadoo - For the name to pop up in a post "You" have to use the at symbol . . . AND - Just the name for the Search Option . . . Well - At least that is what happens when I do it . . . Okay - I think that is enough from "Me" about this issue . . .

i have no idea what is causing your problem, uncle - just did a tag for you and clicked on your name in the popup and it inserted itself

btw - changing the scroll speed for a 'stick' in mouse properties to slow did help quite a bit! thanks again!

Neither do I know what causing this to happen . . .

Anyway - like I mentioned moving on from this discussion . . .

(BTW: Not "My" problem - got to many of them already to add any more that have nothing to do with "Me" personally . . . Just Sayin' . . . )

Since I have only been following a little on this thread..I ma not sure if it's been mentioned....I have an issue with friends posts not showing in my NEWS FEED....I see that they liked & quoted my post in the alerts...but nothing from @Uncle in my feed...

One more thing....I think you might be shown off line....I am not seeing that green corner...that might be why...

As for the search option - when I have use it - the default checked box is actually "This Forum Only" . . . However, whether or not "This Thread" or "This Forum" is checked, when the ECF Member's name pops up and you click on it it does not insert the name into the "Posted By Member" search box as it use to in the old interface - nor will it do it in a post as it use to either . . . All it does is bring up the ECF Member Name & Avatar (if they have one) . . .

It does for me using Chrome. Sorry Uncle.

might wanna check. I turned off a lot of alerts, but that is one that I left on. It's definitely on, but works sometimes, then doesn't work sometimes apparently
@AndriaD see if you get an alert for this one. I didn't click on your name when it auto popped up, so am trying that as an experiment. If you don't get an alert that could be why. My name would be easy enough to just type without clicking on the pop up that shows my name.

And I only got an alert that you quoted my post--not that you tagged me. Hmm...

I had in fact turned off the tagging thing, since I didn't really know what it was -- turned it back on now, so I should hopefully get alerted if tagged.

Not always. I have most alerts turned off, but haven't gotten around to turning off the quote alert too.

(don't tell me you don't check- you always know when someone is working their way through the thread and liking posts )

i don't - i turned off 'likes' on the second day of the switchover i see atty coming because i constantly refresh because of the problems with missing posts but that seems to have been resolved!
