Hey all,
I've been vaping only (except 1 analog at 2 weeks) for 7 weeks now. About a week and a half ago I got the flu, which went into pneumonia. First time for me having pneumonia. Weird this is I had no cough or congestion. Went to doc he did blood work and Xray and found Pneumonia on the xray. Put me on antibiotics and I'm getting much better, cough is there now a few times a day, getting rid of all the crap.

For a few days now I've had a nasty bitter taste in my mouth. It's worse when I wake up and pretty much doesn't go away. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this. I suppose it could be related to antibiotics or something but it seems more likely the ejuice, like it's built up or something. I've been mostly using ecopure in varying nic amounts from very low to high.

Sorry about the pneumonia. I spent a month in a military hospital with it, not a fun time.

I have found that vaping a single type of flavor for an extended time dulls it (now that you're begining to be able to actually taste more as you progress being off smokes) and that rotating flavors brings it back to the level you loved once you get back to it. I'm sure the antibiotics are also contributing with your taste woes also. They always mess with mine, makes beer taste like champagne:rolleyes:

I just did some searching on clarithromycin, which I should have done before posting. I found bad tastes are a common side effect as you've mentioned. I've taken different antibiotics before and never had effects like that so didn't really think that's what it was.

Guess I'm still concerned about the effects of vaping. Although I do completely feel it's better than smoking.
