What you use to cut them tubes? Can it be drill for air holes?

These are both the polycarbonate. I cover the outside of the tubing with painters tape so it doesn't scratch, then rough cut the length with a chop saw and sand the cut surfaces smooth against a flat surface. The tubing is rigid enough that you don't need to support it on the inside. Keep the the hole lubricated when you drill, and taper or round the outside edge so it doesn't whistle.

Somewhere
I figured out what I did wrong and why it was getting so hot, I didn't have it screwed down tight enough, and it was shorting and ohm jumping all over the place.
Got it sorted

Ordered the tubing, will try a couple of different lengths, see what works.

Dual Coil at .33ohm

Awesome, nice find. That Gizmo looks fantastic, I've been using the Xvostick with a tank since the Fountain worked but not how I would have liked it. The Fountain is on the Kato which is the perfect combination. I've put a little piece of electrical tape on the top & bottom of the glass which helps keep it secure for some travel. I still don't find it secure enough when out & about.

Yeah, your Fountain/Kato is a perfect fit. For a little more glass protection I'm thinking of putting a strip of 1mm thick sticky backed felt on the ID of the upper mod opening, which is the same size on the Kato. Wouldn't really see it from the outside but it could turn out to be some extra security.

Okay, the 571 Mini glass fits perfectly. Total height is about 3mm shorter than stock. Now lemmie see how many I break grinding the side air holes.

Oh, and my Gizmo 18650/Fountain V2 rig is almost finished. :D

Easy peasy grinding the air holes. No breakage. Also tapered the outside so they don't whistle. Love the chuff size opening and the brighter flavor you get from it. Vape is a bit cooler than my other side air modifications, and cooler than stock with the coils raised up to the upper metal ring. There's simply more air volume in the 571 Mini glass. It's now ready for higher and more aggressive coils, verticals if it gets too spitty. :)

Been carrying around my Gizmo/Fountain rig all week, running dual twisted 28 gauge coils. Wow. The best pocket rig I have ever had by a good margin. Total no compromise vape.

BTW, I have 5 more pieces of smoke black 571 mini glass coming in. The clear looks really scrungy when using dark juices.

I have not had any luck with several titanium builds on a Fountain. Using a DNA200 in TC mode. First was a 28 gauge Ti coil, spaced, hot spots when firing. It's tough to get the screws NOT to push the thin wire out onto the side of the screw instead of capturing it straight down. I started over with some 26 gauge Ti, same issues, lots of glowing red inside the glass. Put it away, as I gave up. Gave a friend a Fountain, and we installed a 24 gauge Ti, 6 spaced wraps. Worked ok for a short time, then the same hot red glowing inside the glass. Checked all the connections, from coil captures to making sure all atty connections were tight. Cleaned it out, rewicked then fired with the top off and got some FLAMES out the top. My first thought was both of use were over squonking and perhaps the coil being drowned in juice could perhaps cause a short? Never had any issues like this with any of my tank builds, so I have no clue as to why I can't make these Fountains work.

Any speculation is welcome as I see most of you are enjoying it. Is anyone using Titanium wire? Could that be an issue?
THANKS!

I've only done Ni200 builds with 28awg. Since the wire is so thin I wrapped it around the screw vs through the post since I also struggled with capturing direct under the screw. Using Ni200 I never had a problem, maybe try wrapping around the screw shaft directly under the head?

Yikes. Sorry, I'm not using Ti.

ETA: However, in my experience the tricky electrical connection in the Fountain is the outer (negative) contact between the squonk tube and the atty base. Gotta watch it there, keep it clean and tight. All my resistance inconsistencies have been traceable to that contact.

Bottom pic... Bellus, Ehpro Big Buddha Mini and the Fountain V2.

How many points do I get for naming all three?

Bingo, but no points. You get demerits for being such a degenerate vape geek. ;)

Thanks, anyone else using Titanium?

I have some Ti at home, eventually I will get around to using it but I've been on a mech mod kick lately.

I've been reluctant to use the Ti since getting running is a little harder than Ni200 although building it should be easier. There is a blog somewhere that has some pointers on building with Ti, I'll try to find it for you....
