I put a 6mm oring in my frankenskull and it helped greatly.
I figured for the cost of bottle at least one oring would be included.
I believe that's the same size o-rings i used, and yeah for the price, you would think they would already have an o-ring to avoid any issues to begin with, but the rings are so cheap,i don't mind it for an easy fix because they really are nice soft bottles.

Wait, is this an authentic FIB or clone from fasttech?

Mine thread nice and smooth, but wouldn't hold the seal.Apparently several others had the issue with the initial seal on theirs too, because there are a few tutorial video's on youtube about how to seal them.It may have just been a bad batch of them, and i only got 3,but hopefully they are better now.I still like them, and will be ordering more, but i have more o-rings ready to go just in case haha.
Huh. Mine seal perfectly, both the ones I got from Reosmods and the ones I got from Rakuten. The first ones I got I was using on a REO and I had some problems because of the way you have to angle them out to thread the bottle on, but I realized I wasn't hitting the threads right. They are really soft and it is very easy to thread them on wrong. Thread them on straight and make sure the cap seats firmly on the shoulder of the bottle and I have no leaks at all.
With the Frankies I just slip the whole bottle, cap and tube assembly on and off the feeder pin. It slides so easy that it just seems like it would leak, but amazingly it doesn't, not air, not juice. No grommets, washers, O-rings, cables ties, nothing. It just squonks right on up there! With the bottle in one hand and the cap in tube in the other there's none of the awkwardness that comes with having the tube and cap attached to a mod and threading the bottle on, so it's much easier to get the cap on right.

It's neat to read about how easy it is to modify and customize this mod. It's worth mentioning though that these changes to the Frankenskull are completely optional.

I have a couple of them, one with their rda and one without. The mod and rda work fine out of the box, hitting hard and delivering good flavor.

It's the best $20 I've spent in a while for what it can do - as shipped.

Other than the bottle, I agree. The first one I bought worked, but very poorly. I put a cable tie on the top of the tube and it went from very poor to just poor. I didn't have any thing to seal the cap with, so I tried a SS FIB and... JOY!

The second one, the bottle didn't squonk at all. I had more FIBs by then so I didn't mess with it at all.

I've got another one coming along with some grommets and HCigar bottles that should be here by the end of the week. My theory is that with a softer bottle it will work well, maybe even without the grommets. I think the supplied bottle is so stiff that it distorts, and you have to push so hard it goes right to leaking air before the juice gets into the atty. I'll also have more FIBs from Reosmods by then, which is probably what I'm going to actually use, but I want to satisfy my curiosity.

With a good bottle these are my favorite mods, better than my Peko, REO clone, or Coppervapes.

You need the grommets with the HCigar bottle because the neck is way too wide without them. I have 2 2/3mm o-rings in the neck of an HCigar bottle on one of my Frankenfakes and it does work well. I put the stock bottle's stainless steel cap on top, but it's not needed with the O-rings. It just sits on top.

Fastech is making more colors of the frankenskull.
I kind of like the red crackle and that color gives me a few ideas if plastic could be painted or stained someway.
The skull,letters,etc... might look good highlighted.
I think the plastic case needs to be just a few millimeters wider so that bottle can sit directly under bf pin awind not distort it.After a week of use my bottles start becoming flat or square in shape.Ive already used all 6 bottles and they all have shape of octagon.
Price is good but it adds up using disposable mods.

Ok I finally broke down and ordered a Frankenskull from 3fvape. Seems to have fairly good reviews. Certainly don't need another mod as I have quite a few mechs and regulated devices already. Just wanted to try "squonking" but am not not ready to invest in a Reo Grand yet. It seems from what I'm reading that weak spot of this clone is the bottle. Is that pretty accurate? Will the bottles from the Reo site work with this device? Any other quirks or tips I need to be aware of?

Need to order the real deal bottles from reomods Robbert. I don't know how anyone is using the sSIB clone bottles the frankenskull ships with.

The fact they're taking on a square shape says it all...

Second that. The bottles they ship with are crap, pure and simple.
The bottles from Reosmods are $6 plus $3 shipping in a letter packet. They are in stock. They work way better than any other option. Just slip it on and your Frankie is transformed from a barely usable piece of crud into an awesome little mod.

510 only works with certain RDAs and isn't adjustable. Works with the supplied RDA though. Supplied Bottle, as you know, is useless. Genuine super soft Italian bottles such as those available from REO work great. Everything else is optional. Upgraded contacts, different 510...so on

What can I use for washers or shims so I can adjust 510 pin and not short out battery.

If yours is like mine, the 510 pin depth measures out of spec., that is, too deep and not making contact with most attys. Mine measured over 4.7 mm from the top surface of the connector when it should be under 4.5 mm.

My fix was easy and is working nicely. Take one of the thin silicone o-rings (1 mm max.) from one of those drip tips which uses two thin rather than one thick o-ring. The OD will be just the right size. Remove the 510 pin assembly, keeping the connector attached to the mod. Put the o-ring inside the 510 connector between the insulator washer and the very bottom of the threaded section. Don't put it under the pin head because it will just distort outward. You can access the space from the underside, pushing the insulator up a bit and pinching the o-ring into the gap. Reinstall the pin assembly and tighten until the depth from the top surface is 4.4 mm. That should work for every atty you put on it.

The nice thing about using the silicone o-ring is that it's quite compressable. If you have an atty with a longish fixed pin you can screw the atty down past it's first contact to reduce the gap with the mod.

With minimal skills and a drill press you can do what I did to make the 510 adjustable. It's why I like these 510s so much. They're perfect for this style mod and orcas. It's why I requested them from fasttech.
Far less work than modding a vt510 to fit the frankenskull box.

The wide positive disc lessens distance needed for the press and offsets contact surface enough to not have to worry about any electrical contact treatment mixing with your juice feed.

Put in your requests with fasttech. I ordered some mm510s to check them out. Pricey though.

Do you have a link to what you did to convert the 510 to adjustable? I must have missed it.
