Hello all,

After receiving my Vamo V9 I was very disappointed with the quality of the product. First when I tried to install the battery it seemed way to tight and could barely tighten the bottom cap, then it would not power on, then the top cap with the 510 connection just popped out exposing the wires and board. Horrible quality for sure. Now I have a junk V9 and I'm thinking of getting a cheap vamo of any version and transplanting the v9 guts to it. Do you think this will work? I want it as my backup.

I bought a knock-off ego from e5cigs, which is part of Chinabuy, to have as a cheap backup. Never again will I buy a battery/mod of any kind from either of those guys.

This is why:

Is there anyway to extend the battery tube about 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch? I think this would do the trick.

I'm not sure if your battery will got right. But maybe try taking out the spring in the bottom and see what that does for you..only other thing is to build yourself a new bottom cap that would accommodate your need! Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion CraZcraker, I tried the no spring on the cap but it needs a spring, I cut the spring and it could work but I would not trust it. I settled for the extension but I'm also looking at just scraping the thing and using the parts for a box mod.

holy crap they have a v9 already? i feel like just last year or so v5 came out.

The real Vamo goes up to V7 now, the V8 & V9 are clones and in my experience the V9 was not done with real quality in design in mind, sure it looks good and if you are lucky and it works when you get it there is still the issue with how long will it work for.

makes me wonder if the batteries are protected ( has that little chip on the end) Vamos dont work well with protected batteries, cant put the end cap on the tube...
had a Vamo3 and protected Efests... had to buy some VTC4's...

Non protected batteries here, it really is just poor design by the clone manufacturer, the bottom cap goes on very tight if you have the battery in but nice and easy empty. I might modify the spring or get a different spring and make some other changes.
