I just finished wrapping up the cable rope wick for the RSST,i did the AGA a few day ago and let me tell you,goodbye silca,cotton,bamboo,mesh,hemp,butchers twine,cheese cloth,and cotton balls.This is the best vape on the planet.PERIOD.

Right on! I love the stainless cable in my genny's too. Got both my RSST and AGA-T2 set up that way. Any pics of your builds? I'm curious as to how others wrap the top of the cable with mesh.. or if anyone found anything else that's very effective.

This is the first build i did with SS rope.I also find i get no seeping on the tank deck,bone dry,except for condsendation,no juice.BTW,get 3/32in cable,it works in both attys.RSST/AGA,the 1/8in rope is too big too fit in the RSST,the actual size of the the wire is 7/64in.

I was just looking at buying some 3mm silica to rebuild my Protank coils, and then the FC2000 ceramic wicks for my RBA.
Maybe you can help me out a bit here, please? You seem to have tried everything!
I'm vaping on a Smoktech Natural mod with their RSST AC9 clone using 400 ss mesh and 32ga. Kanthal. (looking at getting a Provari-currently I'm using an eGo vv)
How does it compare to these ceramic wicks? Where can I get some of this?
And finally, is fiberglass wicking the same as silica?
I'd really appreciate a heads up here.
Any help and direction much appreciated.

Yes, silica is fiberglass. However, there are different grades of silica. Ekowool is likely the best silica. Big tex vapor has it.

I have the same gear as you,i havent actually tried Ceramic but from what i gather,its a pain too work with and expensive.If you go with the SS rope,you will be blown away.The taste of the SS rope set up is just like it smells out of the bottle and the MASSIVE vapour is fillin my apt with clouds.Only draw back is im vaping more juice cause it tsates so damn good.

Yeah, we do have the same setup!
So I'm getting ready to order now, and I just wanna make sure I got this right. You said get the 3/32", then 7/64". Our wickhole is 3mm, right?
So you are using the 7/64" (2.778mm dia.) rope?
Are you using 28ga wire with that 3/2 wrap?
Do you know what you're metering out at?
And that'll fit the AGA T2 also?
Lot of questions, sorry. But again, you clearly know what you're talking about and I have yet to get my setup working perfectly.
Since we have the same mod and RSST, I'd like to duplicate yours!
I would be extremely appreciative, and promise not become a "lost puppy"! LOL

Anyone tried using SS rope for a Kanger protank rebuild?

One thing I am noticing... since the area for wick and coil is very small in the protank, it tends to heat up the case real fast. Anything else seeing this too? My last build was with 32ga kanthal.

I just don't see enough room in there to use my ribbon kanthal or anything bigger than 32ga at a decent resistance.

Also have 28ga and ribbon which is equivalent to 30ga wire.

I said DO NOT get the 1/8 because its actually 7/64,i called the guy who sold me mine and he says its always bigger than listed.Im using 28 ga,3 wrap,at 8 ohms.The 3/32 fits the AGA perfect but a bit loose in the RSST.The 1/8 rope wont fit the RSST because its actually 7/64,the 3/32 is ok in the RRST.

Its the bomb,i am T-totally blow away,im in awe,shock,disbelief,no words too describe it,every vape i do is MASSIVE clouds,right down too the last drop in the tank and the taste stays GREAT all the way too the last drop,with no dry hits.Its a good idea tho too dry burn after every tank,i did 2 tanks without a dry burn in between and it started too taste off,it builds up gunk after 1/1/2 tanks.

The Halo Malibu now taste like real pineapple and coconut and i get the cool mild methol on the exhale,didnt get that with the other garbage wicks.

I have a Protank too and just ordered some 3mm silica to rebuild with my 32ga Kanthal. I also ordered some .5mm x .1mm ribbon. From the specs it looks like it's about 30ga equivalent? Is that the same that you have?

I saw a YT vid of someone using 400 ss mesh on his Protank rebuild. Wouldn't any metal in there short out? What's your experience with that?

Looking to get some rope now, as you may have read above.

I have some decent knowledge of a lot of this stuff now. But noone knows everything, not me anyway!

Any help with these questions would be very helpful and appreciated. If I can help out too I certainly will.

I see 302/304 7 x19, 7 x 7, 3 x 7???
This cable rope is brand new to me, but I just ordered a brand new Provari V.2.5 (YEAH!), an IGO-L drip atty, 3mm silica, some ribbon wire, etc..(went on a bit of a shopping spree! )
NOW I need the rope!!!

I just left is as it is,but some SS rope has a nylon string in the center,mine did not.

The 7x7 wicks faster than the 7x19 ive been hearing,but im happy with the 7x19,contact your vendor and ask if they sell the ''exact'' size as listed too make sure,it may be a tad bigger or smaller.If your are using this rope with VV/VW Mod,you will need 32 or 30 ga wire,NOT 28 ga,the provari will only fire at 1.2 ohms and higher,if you use 28 ga ypu will need 10 wraps just too get 1.3 ohms,too much wraps and hot spots.
