The 7x7 wicks faster than the 7x19 ive been hearing, but im happy with the 7x19,contact your vendor and ask if they sell the ''exact'' size as listed too make sure,it may be a tad bigger or smaller. If your are using this rope with VV/VW mod,you will need 32 or 30 ga wire,NOT 28 ga,the provari will only fire at 1.2 ohms and higher,if you use 28 ga ypu will need 10 wraps just too get 1.3 ohms, too much wraps and hot spots.

Ok great, just bought myself a Provari too! Bought some 7 x 19 3/32" on ebay. Already have some 32ga wire so thanks for that. Bought some.5mm x .1mm ribbon wire, and hear that the ribbon wire makes the setup kick even more!

Thanks for everything!

vape on!

Hey, Heavyrocker - the only negative thing I've heard about SS rope is that it retains heat. As a chain vaper, I was concerned about the deck/top cap getting too hot, or the wick sort of "boiling" the juice in the tank. Have you tried using ekowool or the Nextel ceramic rope as a sleeve? That set up seems ideal except for what I've heard about the SS rope retaining heat. What has your experience been so far in that regard?

you must have the v-1 provari, the v-2 will fire up to 0.8Ω.

No Vari here,i did not know it would do sum ohms, you sure?

definitely, the v-2 provari will fire a coil at 0.8Ω. but at 0.8Ω the max voltage allowed, because of the 3.5 amp limit, is like 2.9volts. at 2.9volts your only getting like 11 watts. when I first got the v-2 I was vaping at the 0.8 to 0.9 range which was pretty good but then moved to 1.3Ω range, at this resistance you will get the max out of the provari, you will get 3.5amps & 15 watts. so if your into higher wattages it is better to do a coil at the 1.3 range instead of the sub one coils on the v-2 provari.

Glad to hear about the heat. I've been really interested in trying these. In fact, I think now is as good a time as any to order some up. Thanks for the input.

been vaping on the ss rope now for a day or two. I will have to say I definitely prefer it to mesh. the flavor is a little better and it wicks a little better. I bought some of this cable out of curiosity and am pretty impressed, would of never thought a cable could work so well. one thing I would have to say though is although the cable has good flavor it is still mostly metal and imo has a slight metallic taste compared to cotton or porous ceramic wicks, which I believe to be the best. but cotton has an advantage, no heat sink issues. once you vape a wick that has no heat sink its hard to vape anything but. now if your used to smoking a cigar and don't mind a couple of quick primer puffs before inhaling the vape then this cable is very good.
