Let us know how this works for you.I just pushed the pin in with a flat unused pencil just a tad, and no more leaks
Havnt had a leak since, mine is exellent and just getting better, the pins only out of place by just a smidge, but once you push it in there will be no more leaking as there is supposed to be.
Then I blew in really hard from the mouthpiece. Both leaked out after sitting. Pushed their center back in, and filled again. No leaking this time.
So, I often blow air in from the bottom pretty hard, but not from the top. Blowing hard in it from the top, doesn't seem to do too well with these. Anyone else seeing this?
It appears to me that it is a QC problem at the factory in assembling these and Tim and I appear to be the exception (also a few others) that aren't having leaking issues. I realize there is a serious prob here with these and it is hit and miss and there needs to be found a cause and solution to the problem..
I guess this really goes without saying... but I will anyway...
Any device that constantly needs repriming by either blowing in it or whatever other method to keep from having dry hits... is as bad as a device that is the opposite and is prone to flooding... both types of issues need a redesign. This issue is probably just an easy tweak to the design... but on mine, just fluffing and/or trimming back the wick didn't help...
Ooo... I see mine leaked out sometime during the night... I'll push on the pin on the bottom to see if it appears to help with the leaks or not... BTW... placing the C8 ( not on the PV ) into a small clean glass means I didn't loose the liquid either.
Yeah, if this keeps up I may try modding the tube into a top coil design... because I really like the styling & the ability to use my ego-W pen cap on it.i left mine upright in a dish not on a battery, leaked out completely not even on a battery.
